“I am a big fan of Eritrean and Ethiopian food. I am so glad there is a local eatery so close to me in Burnsville; I don't have to drive to St. Paul all the time when I have a craving.
I ordered the yebeg tibs and it was phenomenal. Tender and juicy pieces of lamb in a delicious bebere spiced tomato sauce. Plenty of injera to go around too.
The lady who assisted me was very friendly and I loved conversing with her on food in general.
Highly recommend and will come back again.“

“Hidden gem. Was in the area for work and saw this place tucked away. Nothing fancy or exotic about its location; it's in a strip mall and is very utilitarian in nature.
That said - the food was excellent. I had the awaze tibs and while I'd have preferred they brought the heat, I can understand why it was likely prepared for the average Midwestern palate. While not as spicy as I'd have liked, the beef was tender and the awaze was well balanced and flavorful. Not too much rosemary as to be overpowering which is what I sometimes find with other awaze. The portion size was generous and I ate it again for dinner.
I also had the traditional coffee. It was mid afternoon with only one (very nice!) server, so the pageantry was lost, but I didn't mind. The coffee preparation was just sublime, truly. One of the best pots of coffee I've had in some time and to be honest I'd go back just for the coffee.
If it's your first time with Ethiopian food be prepared to not be given utensils - I find it part of the charm personally and frankly it just tastes better that way, but if you're a neat freak be ready to get dirty. Or I guess ask for a fork if you wanna be a baby.“
