Absolutely horrible customer service at the Cannon Falls location. It was my first time in—and it will be my last.
I had three breads in my hand, picking out items for a platter. While I was still deciding, the woman behind the counter asked, “How many things are you getting?” I said I wasn’t sure yet. She pushed again, saying she needed to know for the bag size. I calmly responded that I wasn’t ready yet.

I was so excited to hear there were gluten free items at Sweet Kneads but the $10 price tag for a small item is insane! I’m well aware of the additional costs and work that goes into making GF items but that price is unjustifiable. $6-$8 max. Instead we went down the street and got 3 large ice cream cones for only a couple bucks more than the 1 GF item at the bakery (and no up charge for the GF cone).
We ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday. It was perfect and delicious. I will definitely use them again!

Sweet Kneads Cannon Falls Bakery offers reasonably fresh and tasty pastries, with huge donuts that feel like getting extra. However, the limited selection and hours are downsides. The current owners do not bake onsite, leading to a lack of super-freshness and a supermarket-like feel due to prepackaged items. There are also concerns about food handling practices. The bakery has lost the magic of the previous establishment that had a better variety, fresher products, and a stronger community connection. Despite this, some customers enjoy the fritters, with flavors like apple, raspberry, triple berry, and mango/pineapple being favorites. A disappointing experience was shared by a customer who missed out on a purple frosted cookie due to a bagging error and unapologetic staff. The bakery is still appreciated for its delicious fritters, even with its shortcomings.
