Wineries near Chisago City

“My adult son and I visited Winehaven Winery for the 1st time today. We wanted to go to experience their Rhubarb Frenzy event we saw on FB. We had a custom wine flight that included their Rhubarb Wine, Pumpkin Wine, and then both of their meads the Stinger Mead (which has apparently won 1st place at a recent event), and their Cinnemead. We enjoyed all of the wines and the mead immensely. We generally lean towards Mead. The Rhubarb Wine was really good. They also had Rhubarb slushies but we did not try a slushy. We also enjoyed/shared a glass of their Zom-Bee Port Dessert Wine which was also good. For food items we shared a Flourless Chocolate Torte with fruit syrup drizzle and their Tiramisu. Best Tiramisu we have ever had! My only thing was I was hoping that they would have had some sort of Rhubarb food for their Rhubarb Frenzy event, like a Rhubarb Torte or Strawberry Rhubarb Pie or even like a Rhubarb jam that would maybe pair with cheese on the charcuterie boards that they had. They did did not have any Rhubarb forward food items and I think that was a missed opportunity especially since their event was called Rhubarb Frenzy. We did enjoy ourselves and would definitely go back given the opportunity.“

“If I could give these guys six stars I would. The winery, the wine and beer that is offered and the ladies that work behind the bar, as well as the owners, could not be nicer. We came here for my husband's birthday and we had an absolutely wonderful time. This is a lovely place with good wine to offer. We are excited to come back to the vineyard and camp. Our only regret is the fact that we didn't have any cash on us to tip the staff. We are definitely going to make it up to them when we come back next time, as they so deserve it. Thank you for the wonderful birthday weekend.“
