“We had great broasted chicken, ribs and burger. Staff was great and the owners are usually right there behind the bar. It's a family friendly restaurant. Very clean resturant, bar and restrooms. Plenty of parking in front. As well as seating in the courtyard. Also if you're looking for a venue for your next event, this is the place - receptions, birthdays, meeting - they have the room to hold the event or just have them cater it.”
“This was our second stop at the Shoreline. The first time we stopped we were not very impressed with anything. This second time was much different. We had the Prime Rib sandwich and it was very delicious! Customer service was very good. They were very helpful and very attentive to our needs. Didn't find out until the end of our visit that the Shoreline is accessible handicap wise via the back entrance. This along with the other items mentioned earlier enhanced my rating. We will be going back for round 3.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible via rear door. The door requires some manipulation if by yourself.”
“Terrific little cafe with bright atmosphere. The proprietor was very attentive and friendly, serving up breakfast favorites. One meal came with eggs over easy when ordered scrambled... but don't let that keep you away from this little main street gem. Don't forget to grab one of their made from scratch bakery items; the almond Danish was a hit with me.”
“The place is a hidden gem! But don't go here as I don't want to fight for how amazing it is! ?Owners let my family and I hang about, they sang me happy birthday, made drinks to how we would like them, and the whole place was adorable”
“Let’s be honest, this is a café. Food was ok. I had the all you can eat. Fish( pollock) it was just ok THE PIE WAS AWESOME Service was great. Reminded me of Mel’s dinner…. If you know what show that was on this is a good place for you.”
“Best soup around! Halibut is awesome. Servers are polite an quick to see you content. Always kind and considerate. Feels like being with people who cherish you. Great place!”
“Food was good, huge portions! Beer was good, too. We had fun with pull-tabs (ended up ahead, woo!). Our server was awesome (sorry, I don't remember her name) but she sat and played dice with us too. Thanks!!”
“Absolutely amazing! Highlight of our trip to Battle Lake. Charming little shop, with the tastiest latte I have ever had… like ever ever…. And the baristas are just glowing, friendly, pleasant people who actually remembered us from the day before and our order to the smallest detail!!! Must try, if you’re in the area”
“The food it can be better, but is Not a restaurant so I understand. The bartender was very kind.the cocktails was wonderful, they have a good selection of bottles, and the atmosphere is very nice.”
“Amazing food!!! Steaks were cooked exactly how we wanted, walleye and shrimp were amazing, our waitress and all the other ones were so busy for a Monday night. Our first time here and we would highly recommend it.”
“Such a cool and fun environment to have a great bite to eat. You can trust that the food and service will be great for your next meal out! They also have catering services available! 10/10 I highly recommend!”
“The food was good, typical bar food with burgers, chicken, and the like. The onion rings were outstanding, other than that I'd say it was a little better than average. The service was great and since we had a large group, including many hard to please children, our waiter was fantastic. My only complaint is many of the stools and chairs are in desperate need of being re upholstered or replaced. It is very dated inside and could use a serious makeover. It did appear to be clean, which is great in today's world.”
“This was a very decent Dairy Queen. I imagine they must have increased business as Granny's Pantry is currently closed. They seemed to be busy every time we stopped by. Ice cream was good to the standard of most DQ'S and the burgers are generally some of the best when it comes to fast food fare. Stop by the next time you're in Battle Lake. Staff was friendly and competent and the restaurant was very clean.Parking: At least a dozen parking spots with street parking nearby and an additional lot in a business next door.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair accessible ramp.”
“This is not where smackin cakes is located anymore and it never was located here. Now it is in the alley next to boat house and sunroom. It's kind of sad. They have great treats such as ice cream and cookie dough. They also have plenty of great drinks.”
“We had Valentine's Day dinner and it was excellent. First time there. The food was delicious and the drinks were superb. We were there a lil late and very grateful for the friendly staff. Excellent dinner and even better ”
“The food is generally good when I have been here and the staff very friendly. Great easy location on the main street. The food is a little spendy for the area and the appetizers are overpriced. The decor is very cool because the place is filled filled with old boats and canoes. Plus there is a many old antique collector boat motors to look at. It can be a little chilly in there in the winter.”
“The Rusty Nail is awesome and a very cool place to hang out as far as I'm concerned! We moved to town a few months ago. My health is not the best, and I ride around on a little souped up scooter ?. Staff and even the customers have really brighten my day every time I've been there which is about 5 times = Had numerous customers help me get in the door to get situated and the staff helping me out the rest of the way. The food is great! Sunfish is so delicious - to die for! I've had some burgers ?=awesome! Homemade chips are delicious. I highly recommend The Rusty Nail. Accommodations, the service, the food and atmosphere are highly respected by me.”
“Friendly Bartender Tim. Small but comfortable, easy feeling bar. Did not see any food available. Seem to be the most popular place in this small resort area town”
