Phoever is a hidden gem in Columbia Heights, offering a truly authentic Vietnamese dining experience. Customers are warmly welcomed by friendly owners, making them feel right at home. The restaurant boasts very spacious seating and fast service. Their menu features a range of delicious and authentic Vietnamese dishes, including their signature Bún bò Huế, which stands out for its rich and authentic flavors and impeccable presentation. The freshness of ingredients is evident in every dish, with crisp vegetables, fragrant herbs, and tender meat. Guests often enjoy crispy and flavorful spring rolls along with the mango shake, a sweet treat. The menu is constantly changing, with new drinks and tasty weekend specials. Many mention that Phoever serves the best Bun Bo Hue ever, and the owners are praised for being friendly and welcoming. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it’s a slice of Vietnam in Columbia Heights, offering an immersive culinary experience that keeps visitors coming back for more. The pho may not have a very strong flavor and contains mostly fat and tendon with little meat, but it can be enjoyed with sauce. The drunken noodles, egg roll, wings, and brown sugar boba are highly recommended, with the wings praised for their flavor and not being too sweet. The pho is served in a big bowl with fresh meat and nice soup. Overall, many customers find everything here just amazing and keep coming back for the great food and friendly atmosphere.
