This place was hopping on a Saturday night, but we still had fantastic service and great food. There is an extensive menu - something for everyone. The bright Mexican decor is very welcoming. A plus was an actual sit-down bar area that you don't always see. You could go for a drink at the bar without having dinner, but why miss that great food?
This place was very delicious but way overpriced for the amount of food per plate. We ordered a side of guac, it was literally a few tablespoons and were charged $5. I have never spent as much as we did on dinner, and there were just 3 of us! I was impressed with the decor. Service was ok, but I will not return. If you want a TRUE authentic experience for a much better price, I recommend Boca Chica Restaurant in St. Paul!
Las Margaritas has the best molcajete, schrimp, chicken, carne asada and chorizo with melted cheese, and a side of rice, beans, and corn tortillas... yummy!
