“Great experience! Surprised to find the restaurant is inside of a grocery store. The gentleman who took my order was super helpful. I ordered the snack meal: Nanny's Soul Roll, chicken wings and fries. It was my first ever Soul Roll (Mac and cheese, greens and chicken inside of a egg roll wrapper) and it was delicious. The wings were small so they gave 3 instead of 2. My friend had the baked macaroni and cheese and she said it was good. We ate inside of the store as shoppers shopped.“

“Food was the closet comparison to southern food since I moved to Mn from Ms in 2022, a hidden gem of great food! Wish it was a eat in eatery but overall we'll be back! I had my catfish with yams and Mac & cheese and my bf had the smoke turkey leg with greens and Mac and cheese!“

“I went there with a group from my church and we all loved everything we ordered! I had the smoked pork, baked beans and cole slaw! It was all so tasty!! My daughter had the smoked turkey, gravy, and corn on the cob! We both highly recommend the food!“

“I'm visiting from TX for a conference and we just ordered food via Door Dash. Hands down some of the best soul food I have ever had. They even have vegetarian/vegan options for my husband. The fried chicken was perfect, Mac & cheese was phenomenal, plantains was *chefs kiss* and I 100% stole my husbands collard greens bc they were SO GOOD. 10/10 recommend.“
“This is my first and probably only Google review, but I just got takeout from Mama Sheila's and it was the best plate of food I've had in a minute. My soul and my belly are happy as hell. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, brussels sprouts, collards, cabbage, cornbread, and grape koolade. Everything was fresh and rich and delicious and tasted like home. And **seasoned**! I'm from the south and I sure miss folks seasoning their food lol. I really needed a good meal and they more than delivered, comfort for my body and my heart. I'm regretting not adding on a piece of cake from the case up front. Next time.Service was friendly and quick. I was getting to go but it looks like it would be a great place to sit and eat if you've got time. Highly highly recommend.“

“I had their food when it was catered for a work event. Absolutely phenomenal!!! I went back today to order on my own. I got the ribeye sandwich. mac n cheese and loaded chips.Sandwich -- AMAZING!!! Small, but also a decent piece of steak, so you kind of have to expect that. I'd definitely order it again!!!Loaded chips -- not so good. See pic.Mac n cheese -- just ok. I'm really, really picky about Mac n cheese. My fav is whalburgers. Most people will love this!Can't wait to go back and try other things.
