Very cool building to come with family and friends. We are disappointed with our service. Our server was not great. We would understand if it was busy but we got there before the dinner rush. Father in laws food was mostly cold to the touch. The steak and lobster sandwich I got was absolutely delicious.

I ordered a small plate of chicken tetrazzini, it was huge. Really good. Nice place to stop if you find yourself at canal park.

Duluth institution down in Canal Park. We decided to take a seat at the bar for a drink to kill time waiting to check into our lodging accomodations. Bartender was super nice & helpful in picking out drinks that we'd enjoy. Very nice selection of beers on tap as well as cocktails. Would definitely come again in the future.

I’ve visited Duluth many times over the years and tonight was the first time trying out Grandma’s, as I usually stay away from the touristy places and tend to find smaller hidden gems. The food was absolutely terrible. I got the Cranberry Turkey Club. The cranberry wild rice bread was hard and as thin as a piece of paper and looked as if someone stepped on it. The sweet potato fries weren’t anything exciting and mostly thin crunchy pieces with no substance. My husband got the Steak Lobster Mornay. The steak was like rubber and the lobster was ground mush with absolutely no flavor and tasted like it came out of a can. The regular french fries were undercooked and cold and had zero flavor as well. All the food was extremely bland. The staff was nice and efficient, but the food was terrible. One and done- we will not be back.

Place decor was great... Staff was meh... the younger female staff were a bit rude and snarky.. all the men were great... the food was mid at best.. felt like it should be on the show Kitchen Nightmares with Gordan Ramsey.. the stuffed mushrooms should be called overloaded with a blob of cheese... the steak and mushroom bites appetizer was good.. the chicken pot pie wasn't so much a pie but some watery powder tasting paste with a slab of bread on top, NOT an actual pie... more so soup and a bread hat? The cajun pasta was bland and dry... it said creamy sauce but I guess they forgot the creamy part... idk but my husband and I were highly disappointed... it was nice of them to give us coupons for being disappointed but we're just passing through and won't be coming back...

Visiting Grandma’s either downtown in Canal Park or up on the hill in Hermantown, you will never go wrong. I always get the same exact thing every time I go to eitherlocation: the cranberry turkey club. From the french fry connoisseur: yes, the french fries are worth the calories! My husband likes the Good Stuff Fries, but I prefer the regular french fries. My husband always gets the Reuben, which he thoroughly enjoys. Their malts are also a great option. Grandma‘s restaurant is kind of a place you can’t miss if you’re coming to Duluth on vacation.Never had a problem finding parking at either location, service is always been good, and I have never complained about the food. Can’t find a better place to eat downtown in Canal Park if you also want to walk around and enjoy the sites like I do.
