Hungry Hippie Tacos Reviews
Best taco I’ve ever had in Duluth.
“hungry hippie” is an unfortunate name considering the experience we had there. The workers were incredibly rude, when asking clarifying questions about the menu and the ordering process, they rolled eyes and then ignored us before finally angrily taking our order. They were particularly mad that we were trying to order plain cheese quesadillas for our young kids (literally the people in line before us ordered the same with no issues). We told them fine, we don’t need quesadillas,...read full review

Hungry Hippie Tacos is a charming eatery in West Duluth, offering a unique blend of flavors and ambiance. Their menu features a mix of classic and specialty options, including the popular pineapple taco special served with a crispy fry bread shell. The smoked pork with kimchi on fry bread is so good it should be a regular item, not just a special. The Northern Gringo taco, made with smoked brisket and a crunchy fried taco shell, is also highly recommended. Many visitors love the flavorful beans, which are a perfect complement to the meals. The restaurant has very chill vibes and offers both indoor and outdoor seating, making it an ideal spot to catch up with friends and enjoy a delicious meal. Although the inside can be warm on hot days, the friendly and helpful service makes up for it. Prices are around $12-14, and the generous portions, along with the creative twists, make it a worthwhile stop. Located a bit out of the way, it’s definitely worth the trip for some of the best food in Duluth. The neighborhood around the restaurant is lively with new shops and a hopeful energy, adding to the overall experience. Vegetarians can enjoy their meal by substituting beans, which are super flavorful according to visitors. Many consider this place a hidden gem in Duluth’s food scene.
