Wished there had been beer buckets to help with the overflow of people wanting to buy drinks, those poor bartenders were not prepared for a four person deep wait on ordering.

We came here for the Duluth homegrown music fest. Beer came in a plastic cup for 6 dollars during the event,the sound system was absolutely awful when the bands were on stage playing. Your down in a basement so the place was super dark,dreary and damp smelling. Bartender and staff were wonderful people,very helpful and cheerful.

I used to absolutely LOVE coming to the rex since I turned 21, but since the owners hired their own son he refuses drinks to me and my friends on multiple occasions upon entry. Occasionally one drink, but after that he tells everyone else working not to serve us.

The night I went here, the bartenders weren't worried about people wearing facemasks in the bar. My friend and I were the only ones that actually wore a facemask. I wouldn't even want to come here again during the pandemic. Since the place could care less about people getting covid.
