The service was amazing! The food had so much flavor!
The kitchen is open so you can see everything and the 2 young chefs tonight were holding it down and taking care of business. And even though it was just the 2 food came out fast and prompt for a Friday night! You can tell they enjoy what they do just by watching them cook and when you taste the food it really shows. I was really impressed. Will definitely be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you enjoy some good italian food definitely come check this place out! The carbona was so creamy and decadent. The burrata app is a must try, so tasty and great for sharing, it came with a huge piece of cheese and a flavorful pesto sauce. One of the best Italian meals I've had.

The BEST Italian food I've ever had. It's so good I would go to Duluth just to eat lunch or dinner at Va Bene. The pasta is just that good. I had Pasta Carbonera, and my partner had Fettuccine Alfredo. Don't skip the delectable bread - it comes with the meal. I'll have to leave room for dessert next time. Great lake views. The restaurant is small but has multiple rooms, some inside and some outside. Due to size and popularity, I recommend making online reservations a few weeks in advance, especially for dinner.

Wow, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. I am a pasta fanatic and the Pesto Frutti di Mare was cooked perfectly and was unbelievably tasty! The service was outstanding, both efficient and friendly. The Aperol Spritz was also one of the better ones I've ever had. The view was the icing on the cake. Thank you!!

Wow amazing food, service and fantastic location. The Chicken Alfredo was amazing. Everything seems freshly made and in house. We were seated next to a window with what would have been an amazing view of Lake Superior had it been during the day, however we arrived well after sunset but still had a nice view of the Shore Line, Lakeshore Walk, and lit up port off in the distance. The only negative comment I could make was it was a cool foggy evening and the door between the solarium, where we were eating, and the grotto kept being left open so the patrons kept getting up to close it because it was a bit chilly.

Our dinner at VaBene was fantastic! Our server, Carly was the best and the mocktails and food delicious. We enjoyed the gelato, tiramisu and cappuccinos for dessert. But the star of the show was definitely the pasta! Both dishes we tried were prepared perfectly and some of the best we’ve ever had!

Elevated view of Lake Superior? Say less. Absolutely adored the view. Didn’t love the food for the price, but it was solid. In conclusion, you’re paying for a spectacular view and pretty good italian
LOVED IT! Make reservations in the all season porch. You're right on the lake. The view is incredible. Andy was our server and he did a great job. We love the Va Bene salad with mixed field greens, pear gorgonzola and candied walnuts. The Bolognese sauce over spaghetti with meatballs was excellent. The spaghetti with Alfredo sauce and shrimp was out of this world!! Good wine list. Better make reservations. Good food, wonderful ambiance.

Fantastic dining experience. Our server, Ian, was very helpful with our menu selections. The cuisine is delicious! The grotto, only available if you book a couple of weeks or more in advance, is a perfect setting for a romantic dinner. Definitely 5-stars! (Ian, the éclair made it home intact ?)
