We were visiting from St Louis & stopped in one afternoon for a drink & guacamole. The guac is homemade; SO delicious & with homemade chips! We decided to return the next day for lunch. This time we had the tacos. Again, plentiful meat with the most delicious tasteful toppings. We were fortunate to have the same waiter, Tony. He’s definitely an asset to the restaurant. Very attentive & personable. Highly recommend this gem in St Paul!!
Three of us went to this restaurant after my son got home last night. We ordered pork chops, short ribs, which were delicious as expected. I ordered octopus, which was the sole purpose I drove all the way there for dinner. We have been there 4 times. I was quite disappointed. The food was in a small plate as an appetizer size, the octopus was half of the usual size. I didn’t know what made the chef or owner do it that way. I had rated this restaurant 5 stars all the time. Overall. The food is great. It's not fine dining, but very good food for the price. A few critiques... 1. The steak tacos need help...the steak was cut into giant pieces...and very undercooked. It definitely needed a marinate and seasoning. Pineapple was a nice touch of flavor but the chunks were so big I had to eat the entire taco with a fork. I do love their blue corn tortillas. Flavorful and soft. The shrimp tacos are just okay. Corn is cold and they just add sour cream....
