“I will go out of my way to go here anytime I am in northwestern MN! A total win finding this amazing cafe with the highest quality, DELICIOUS food for my family! Amanda was kind and working super hard! The quinoa buns were incredible and I wish I could buy them by the dozen! The banana brownie was the best banana dessert I have ever had! We also had the margarita sliders. I can’t describe how delicious they were. You just have to go and try them! Salads were fresh with high quality ingredients. Pulled pork was tasty and piled high. My picky eater even ate it all!!! My youngest declared it was the best grilled cheese she’s ever had. From the simple to the gourmet, it was all savored and we leave sad only because it’s 3 hours from our house! This was our best restaurant choice of our road trip out west. Anyone lucky enough to live close to frequent the Fabled Farmer is blessed!”

“The food is inspired and never disappoints ! Chef Andrew and his staff obviously take great care and pride in the food they present . It is always creative , delicious and beautiful ! Very affordable for what you receive ! If cheap , fast and ordinary food is what you’re looking for go elsewhere . Coffee is great too Tthis place is a gem!”

“Thoroughly impressed with the service, atmosphere and the menu, including the beverage and dessert menu. I ordered the Bacon Smash burger with onion rings and a glass Michael David Freakshow Cab. They paired well together and I enjoyed every bite and sip. Perfectly seasoned, juicy burger with the perfect amount of crisp to the bacon. My friend was equally pleased with his Cali Smash burger with a side of fries and water. also, got a To-go order of the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo that came with a breadstick. My bro said it was”hit the spot” so that means he liked it. Highly recommended!”

“wife and went there today, our second visit, waited15 minutes for waitress to ask what we would like to drink, disappear for 10 minutes and brings our pop and leaves, then a few minutes later comes back and asked what we want to eat, well, how about bringing us a menu, she brought ONE! 20 min later we get our food, totally tasteless. so strike 2, won't be a strike 3. very disappointed in our anniversary lunch!!! oh, did I mention there were only 8 other people in that BIG restaurant, as soon as we walked in, a couple said they waited so long they were just leaving and going somewhere else.”

“They've been open many years, and i have always gotten good food ad service here. The food was hot n fresh, the buffet was constantly checked, refilled, and maintained. There are some GREAT foods here, the sesame chicken, the peanut chicken..... mmmmmm yum. The vegetables are crisp in the chicken broccoli, the chicken tender n flavorful. There is sushi and salads, big selection of hot quality foods, and desserts available. Tables are spread out to make it easy to walk, but able to hold large groups. We were able to carry on a conversation and enjoy the atmosphere. A great buffet I can happily recommend for all ages”

“Went to eat breakfast here because Rothsay Truck Stop which is SUPPOSED to be 24/7 had a note on door when we got there that they closed at 1 am....then drive all the way to Fergus to find a Note on the door here when the website says 24/7 also....what a CROCK!!”

“Don't have a restaurant in our town anymore, so always stop whenever I'm near one. I love the taco burger and their potato oles. Also got one of the summer drinks, a wildberry lemonade. Made it dirty and it was delicious.”

“I gave unfavorable comments about a year ago. I decided to try it again a week ago for lunch. Vastly different and very good. The full restaurant was open and busy. Atmosphere very pleasant. Service fast and food very good. It has returned to what it was in it’s hayday!”

“We ate at Applebee's in Fergus Falls, MN on Feb. 27th. Our waiter, Erin S., was a trainee but you would not have known it. She was fantastic! Her friendliness and smile added to the great experience that we had. Food portions were generous and delicious. Way to go staff!”
