Meh. The first few times I went to Mallards I was reasonably impressed. Unfortunately after that the service has consistently been disappointing. Slow turn around for drinks *watered down happy hour beverages, and slow wait staff. Cold fries this last time. The corn fritters are good but don't bother with the crab cakes, they were slimy. It is hit or miss for sure. I keep going back because my friends all live close by and the woman who is the manager/owner? is a sweetheart....
What an absolute pleasure it was to eat here , was our 1st time here and l honestly cannot wait to come back .Started off with the crab cakes (one of the best I've had)and then got the tuna tacos , absolutely delicious, oh and the drinks were great too. Atmosphere was nice and service was also amazing. Seriously can't wait to come back and try something different.
Nikki and her team are the best. Great food, great conversations, nice selection of bourbon. Pull tabs and Etabs along with the option to watch sports. Gem in Forest lake come check it out.
