Had dinner for a birthday last night, unfortunately my prime rib included a salad that NEVER came. I pointed it out to another server and still no salad, very disappointed on the service.

I used to love Norman Quacks but haven't gone much because of the limited hours since Covid. Was the only place we could get Valentines reservations. Boy what a disappointment. They no longer give you warm bread once your seated! This was something we always looked forward too. They were out of prime rib by 7:00 pm this is my go to meal! Then when We wanted to split a two pork chop meal, we were told we couldn't but we could split a single pork chop meal, how stupid is that! The walleye was deep fried not to our parties liking! Finally we ordered drinks which took over 30 minutes to be served and are martinis were 1/2 full but charged us full price! Our waitress was very nice but somewhat dizzy. Needless to say I won't be back anytime soon! They need to step up alot of things to get customers returning!

Went there with family (party of 8) after a basketball game. When we arrived we were told to wait to be seated which was fine. Being it wasn't very busy, and after standing for 15 minutes, I again asked the hostess/waitress if we could sit at the empty table that seated 8 right by the entrance. I explained I just had ankle surgery and needed to sit down. She said no and I should move a box off a chair in the entry and sit there. When I asked to speak to a manager she told me if I didn't like it, go somewhere else. I again asked her if a manager was available. And she told me that she didn't have to answer my questions and if I didn't like it, to go somewhere else. We then all left and went up the street to The Grillium. There we were treated excellent and one of the best wait staff ever..everyone in our party raved about the food and waitress. Our bill for 8 was $170+ $35 tip, all could have been spent at Norman Quacks and retained us as a return customer. You wonder why restaurants like this don't succeed. I definitely will be returning to the Grillium, it was delicious and a pleasurable experience

Made a reservation on Saturday for a Wednesday evening dinner for a group of guys. Arrived to find that we had NO reservation and the room we wanted is normally reserved for more than the number that we had. I stated that we wanted that room and Jennifer said she would check and see about it. She then said they would prepare the room for us in a few minutes, and we were seated. Jennifer was then our wait person and the evening went great!! Good food, Jennifer was very attentive and pleasant - and in the end our experience was a 10 out of 10. If you go there, ask for Jennifer, she is one of the most friendly and accommodating people you will ever see at a restaurant. We’ll be back, and that chopped steak dinner is one of the best you’ll find. It’s all good.

This is my 3rd time at Norman's. The onion rings were soft with coating falling off. Not sure is they were previous day. Cost to much for the food options. I would rather go to Perkins.

Menu is overwhelming, and it's pretty dark in the dining area. The food is pretty good, I'm a big fan of the Monte Cristo. Also a pretty good tap selection. Prices are high for what you get.

We have lunch every Friday at Norman Quacks. We have never had a bad meal yet. The staff is always great at making our time there so enjoyable.
I visited today and ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. Unfortunately, the quality was very disappointing. The sandwich had been left in the fryer far too long, causing the cheese to melt out completely and the bread to become overly crisp—so much so that it was difficult to eat. Service was also lacking. Our server did not check on us until my husband had already finished his meal, which meant I couldn’t address the issue with my sandwich until much later. Additionally, my empty glass sat at the edge of the table throughout the meal, but no one offered a refill. When I finally mentioned the problem, only $2 was deducted from our bill. After further discussion, the server reluctantly returned a few more dollars, but the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. In fact, when I explained that we would not be returning, the server responded by saying, “Good, we don’t want you back.” Overall, the food was poorly prepared, and the service was unfriendly. The only positive note was that the skinny fries were good.
Had the monti cristo sandwich. It was terrible. Kept it in the fryer way to long the cheese was melted out. The bread was way to crispy from keeping it in the fryer so long it was hard as a rock. The waitress did not come to check on us until my hubby was done with his food so I couldn't tell her about my sandwich till then. I had my empty glass of pop sitting on the side of the table waiting for a refill. Never once did a waitress come by asking if I want a refill. They took 2 dollars off the bill. Just two dollars. Before walking out I stopped the waitress says really 2 dollars you got to be kidding. She asked how much I should had gotten off I only said well more then 2 dollars. She basically threw a 20 at my hubby. I told her we won't be coming back there again. She said good we don't want you back. Wish I took a picture of the food. I guess i wasn't thinking.

Mad stew love. Everything was cooked to perfection! I saw a review from 2014 where they said they'd rather have Dinty Moore, so I figured I'd better give y'all an update. I've been looking for the recipe online since the first time I tried it. Recently my sister went to Norman Quack's and normally I'm the type to puppy sit for free but "Could you please bring me back a bowl of Red Ike stew?" And of course she said yes.
The waitress was amazing and I even felt bad telling her the food order was wrong. One dish had chicken and they sent beef and the other was supposed to be beef and they sent chicken. They made it right but it felt like only because the waitress stuck up for us.

Jennifer was a very efficient, attentive, friendly waiter. We had the rib special with key lime pie for dessert. It was tangy creamy goodness.
