Open on time & have a waitress ready to go. Friends waited for someone to unlock the doors...late. We arrived at 7:30 a.m. today but no waitress until 8:15. The manager & cook were there but manager wouldn't take our order...but did tend to other individuals.
A friend said the men's bathroom was still messy from the night before. Both bathrooms are typically very cold!
This place leaves a lot to be desired!
I placed to go order , biscuits and gravy, very disappointed. Very little gravy. I contacted the restaurant I voiced my dissatisfaction. Only to be told “thanks for the input” I will no longer patronize the Forest Lake Perkins. I was bringing a treat for my husband suffering from cancer.

We just happy to give this review for Olivia what a wonderful awesome dynamic hostess her first day at work she did an awesome job and made sure that all her guests were satisfied and guess what it's my birthday and she got me a free birthday meal kudos to you Olivia Sandy Jones and Dion Nelson June 19th 2023

Based on the reviews, Perkins American Food Co. serves delicious food that is fresh, hot, and tasty. The best breakfast has been had there, and the food is excellent as always, with no frills food prepared properly and promptly. The service is amazing, with servers who are absolutely amazing, the sweetest, and the best of the best. Servers are friendly, efficient, and attentive, offering a free cup of coffee to go. The building and grounds are clean, though a renovation may be in order soon.
