Stopped in after picking up our sauna! Wings were hot and crispy! Great service and atmosphere
Yeah... was here years ago and enjoyed. Mentioned to server and he sarcastically said, "those were different owners." His service matched the poor choice of words. The place looks nice and I hope they do well. Bad service but I'll give them another chance.

I have tried to call this place for a week. Also attempted to send an email, the phone line is consistently dead and the email provided on the website was apparently unable to receive mail/no longer active.
How is it possible to contact this restaurant ?

I stopped here after the recommendation of a friend. Luckily the patio was open, and that was much quieter than the indoor space. The wild rice burger was great, and I loved that you could get soup as a side without an up-charge.

Very busy but the staff did a great job. The walleye and sweet potato fries were great. The patty melt was done well but really messy to eat. The onion rings were okay.

The Juicy Lucy was pretty bland and underwhelming, but I loved the atmosphere and other food though. Worst part was paying. Our server brought the a small card reader to our table, which defaulted on a very high tip %, forcing you to manually have to input a reasonable tip while the server stares at you intently the whole time, or get guilt-tripped into tipping more than you are comfortable with. As soon as I input the tip, the server snatches away the pad, which started displaying a customer satisfaction survey, and immediately gave himself 5 stars... just for that level of sleazy behavior, you get a 1 star Google review.

Decent food but very expensive for what it is, busy, slow, and cold if you're seated outside.
Admittedly part of this somewhat negative review is that we were seated outdoors in their plastic tarp patio area next to an open door in October and froze our asses off. I don't care how good anything else is, that made for a miserable night for our small party of 3 to begin with. Add in the nearly hour long wait from the time we ordered until our food arrived and none of us left happy. For a sandwich, a burger, and a kids Mac and cheese with 2 beers our total was nearly $100 after tip and tax. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about either.
We froze our asses off, waited an hour for our food and paid twice as much as we should have for what we received. I wouldn't go back.

First time visiting. Great food. I had the Blue Pig stuffed burger with added jalapenos, and fries. The chicken tenders dinner was good, too. The tomato soup was delicious. The cheesecake for dessert was ample sized and very tasty. Jen, our server, was great! Prices seemed very reasonable, especially for Grand Marais.
Parking: Parking in their lot and on the street out front.

We ate here both nights we stayed in Grand Marais. The crispy chicken sandwich and coleslaw were good. The cheeseburger and sweet potato fries were very good. The onion rings were exceptional. The smoked pulled pork was the best I’ve ever had. Plus excellent service and good beer selection. Great restaurant.

I was seated with a view of a toilet, and everyone who needed to use the restroom needed to squeeze past me. When we arrived there were lots of other tables and at no point were all the tables full, we were a group of 4. The tap water smelt like pool water, a very strong chlorine smell and taste. We don't drunk soda, my boyfriend ordered a beer just because the water was so bad, me and my kids just dealt with it. The food was mostly ok. Over half of the onion rings were burnt. Kids ordered a canzone that they say was good. We ordered garlic bread. This was literally the worst thing that has ever been served to me at a restaurant. It was $5 for 2 quarter inch slices of white bread with a hint of butter just in the middle, burnt on the backside. There is no hint of garlic. We didn't eat it. The bread was so dry it crumbled into super fine powder. When we told the waitress the garlic bread was really really bad and showed her that is crumbled into powder her response was "that the way it's supposed to be it's homemade crispy toast" she did not take the unbeaten bread off our bill. Also, my kids' water glasses were empty before the food arrived and never got refilled.
To management, you should advertise homemade crispy toast, not garlic bread, than people could make a more informed decision. I would have been less disappointed if it had been on the menu as crispy toast. Garlic toast should have garlic.
Literally no one wants a view of a toilet when they eat. Possibly re arranging the tables that table moved 2 feet would mak a big difference or only using that one as a last resort.
This was the worst $100 I ever spent. I don't recommend anyone eat here

I'd rate this place a 2 or 3 for my meal, but since everyone else in my family enjoyed their lunch, I'm giving it 4 stars. It has a great atmosphere with old pictures and signs on the walls.
Don't order the chicken pesto sandwich, it's impossible to eat as an actual sandwich, you can't close it because they put everything in the middle of the bread (see picture) and the chicken pieces are too big. The chicken was dry and the mozzarella was one piece of barely melted cheese. It was a huge disappointment.
