I met a friend for lunch at Applebees in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. It had been about twenty years since I'd been in an Applebee's restaurant, and to be honest, my expectations were low. You can imagine my delight when I found the service to be truly exceptional, the food delicious, and the decor a comfortable combo of updated casual dining ambiance. This will be my destination of choice for future meet-ups.

We were hungry. Applebee's is usually very consistent in quality food and service. So we dined there today.
Vegetarian options: I recommend vegetarians have the steak.
Dietary restrictions: When I eat out, which is not often, I generally don't concern myself with dietary restrictions.
Parking: We went about 1:30 pm. Sparse crowd at that time. This also allowed staff to show their best customer service skills in a non rushed way. Service was excellent.
Was here 2x this weekend as they have the best hours in the area with the long days. The food was great on the take out order, and the girl who was bartending did a fabulous job the next night.
