“Visited Thirsty Pagan years ago and absolutely loved every bit of it, especially the rugby history and pizza. In Superior for a cabin weekend with my rugby team so had to drop in for dinner on our way into town.
Could not have been happier with our evening. Steve, the owner, heard wind we played rugby and gave us a personal tour of all the rugby memorabilia. What an absolute joy to hear the history of Duluth Women’s Rugby Club (and I guess the men too).
Pizza is Detroit style-esque and soo tasty. We had their supreme type and Mediterranean and I can’t wait to finish our leftovers. Salads, beer, and brownies were also amazing.
Service was superb even before the rugby connection was found- same as I experienced years ago. And Steve was so sweet to give us a discount on drinks.
So glad I came back. Definitely making it a stop on all my Duluth/Superior trips going forward.

A. Stellar service from genuinely good people. The entire staff is amazing.
B. The selection of brews and THC tonics is wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend the Golden Apple!
C. Nowhere better to throw axes! You can rent a lane or join a league and compete with (or against… 👀) friends.
D. HUGE BACKROOM for parties that I only just found out about when they threw a Halloween bash and had two DJs going (one in each room) with different vibes. They have amazing local talent constantly, and it’s a great space for music.
E. Not feeling the dancing or axe throwing vibe? Perfect, they have plenty of tables to sit and eat at!
F. THEY HAVE FOOD! The pretzel is so delicious 🤤

“It must be a night "off". I ordered a small lasagna with an extra slice of garlic bread. Upon opening, the lasagna was deconstructed. the sauce was amazing but chunky! The meal was luke warm and tasted microwaved. I'll try again because the sauce is so good. *Sidenote* I was told 5 p.m. so the driver who came back from delivery took my name. The young woman was so friendly when she came out! Unless it had been sitting 15 minutes, it shouldn't have been luke warm with hard cheese. I recommend a second try but not sure when. There are many places with hot, fresh lasagna.“

“Honestly, this place deserves 10 stars! My wife and I had reservations for our 15 year wedding anniversary and wow did they go above and beyond!! They had the most delicious food and my wife who has celiac disease had so many options to pick from for food. They made our night so special and I was beyond impressed. We were both brought to tears from how friendly and kind the staff were. 10000000% recommend to anyone and everyone!!! Thanks so much again - Brandon and Julie :)“

“We are here at least once a month. Everyone is so friendly. They remember us and what we order. It is amazing. Today we had my granddaughters 2nd birthday lunch here since she has been coming since she was a newborn. They let us bring balloons and decorations.They go above and beyond. They spend time with the kids and actually seem to enjoy it. If they were not over an hour away we would be here weekly at least.“

“Local Duluthian. This used to be a family favorite spot, it felt like a "Special" place to go. We rarely come here in recent years. The last few times its clear how run down this spot is becoming - you have such a great location, beautiful view of lake superior, tourist hot spot ... but its sad how run down its becoming, carpets, worn down booths. . . . Leaving this review to try encourage owners to put a little pride back into this restaurant and do Duluth Proud.“

“I returned to the Applebee's recently, as my visit a couple of weeks ago had left a great impression. I take back my earlier comments about the service. I was left a bit confused this time. I ordered the "Big Cluckin’ Chicken Sandwich" again, and the food was once more, excellent. However, while taking our order, the waitress mentioned something about her shift was ending, which felt a bit off. Midway through the meal, I asked for more fries, and she brought them out promptly. But then she told me the special I’d ordered wasn’t available anymore despite it still being listed on your website.
I get it, the young lady serving us was ready to end her shift, but claiming the offer was discontinued left me confused and frustrated. I’m not sure if I’ll be back after this.“

“My girlfriend and I ate there tonight for dinner, our server was Annika and she was fabulous. I would recommend you ask for her if you go there. We decided to both order the build your own Mac & Cheese and it was delicious, it has to be one of the best Mac & Cheese in the Twin Ports, I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back to order more. Great service and great Food. Highly recommend.“

“My husband and I come here normally every Friday. We always come in to get carry out because our work week is so crazy we just want to enjoy there great food at home. We love the takeout prices normally under $30 for us both with filled up to go boxes. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is our favorite. 🥰“

“We ordered a BBQ chicken salad, bean burger and tots to go, the food was ready for pickup less than 20 minutes after we placed the order and it was fresh and ready to go, decent pricing for what we ordered. Everything was good, the salad could have had more dressing for sure and they did not include silverware or napkins. Not sure if thats standard but it was kinda annoying as we didn't have any at the hotel.“
