Fantastic! This place is a gem. Homemade bbq, fresh made bread - amazing. We tried a salad, sandwich, and soup. Each fresh with incredible flavors.
My family was looking for a light lunch for a fair price while on vacation around Duluth (fair price was hard to come by around there). The interior was plain but we didn’t really care. The cashier was courteous and patient while we all ordered. The sandwiches were on fresh baked bread toasted to perfection and were delicious! Out of all the places we ate over our three nights there, this ended up a favorite. Even with my 9 and 11 year old kids still talk about it!
This shop was an easy walk from the train museum. They had a gluten free bread option. Great sandwiches for a great price.

Toasty's Sandwich Shop is a simple sandwich shop in a downtown building with seating on the second floor above the restaurant. The food is great, they make their own breads and buns. While the sandy could use a little more filling, for the price it was awesome and tasted delicious. The sandwiches are amazing and shaped like oversized toast. A favorite is the turkey bacon burger, which is a 1/2 lbs burger without the grease coma. Another favorite is the steak tastic, and the apple chicken is mind blowing. Service was friendly and the employees are great, with amazing customer service. The atmosphere is super cozy and a fun spot to take pictures. It is a busy spot during the week due to all of the local offices but plenty of space on the weekends. The price is on par and cheaper than fast-food, offering an amazing value. The staff was very friendly and they were playing some chill tunes.
