Ordered crispy bacon, had to send it back. Blt comes, not cut properly and barely warm. when I asked for new food, both the waitress and manager were upset, we just left instead!

Based on the reviews, this Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Duluth is a good place to go and a good family eatery. The staff is friendly, professional, and a pleasure to work with, with one waitress noted as exceptionally attentive and kind. The building is very tired and could use a badly needed upgrade. Food quality varies. Meals are generally tasty, with specific mentions of crispy hash browns and a surprisingly excellent steak. However, some dishes have issues: a loaded baked potato soup was warm and thick but a little too salty; a cheeseburger had an overcooked patty lacking juiciness and flavor; a potato pancake was a tad overcooked; and one order of fried dill pickles tasted like they were fried in the same oil as the fried fish. Another order came with gravy with a side of mashed potatoes and skillet, where there was so much gravy. Portions can be inadequate, and service, while professional, can sometimes be not great.
