“Another amazing meal to celebrate a friend’s birthday (Anne). Niki was our server and from the moment we arrived (90 minutes before our reservation time) we had excellent service and advice. The wine was outstanding (and a bonus, it was Wednesday half price wine day). Split by 3 a bottle was ideal. Anne had the smorgasbord which was a visual sensation and exploded with delicious flavors! Lynn had the beets followed by the asparagus and egg sandwich. All of it was a delicious treat. I had the curry mussels with a side of fritas and as much as I wanted escargot I was full and content. Oh but the cream brûlée shared completed our meal.“

“We ate brunch here on a day when they were short handed in the kitchen. As a result our food took an exceptionally long time to come out. Our waitress, Maria, brought us coffee and water and kept us informed. The food was delicious. We had omelettes and crispy hash browns and it made up for the long wait.“

“Last night the Buffalo House hosted our company Christmas Party. I can’t find the words to tell you how amazing it was! All of our guests are still raving about the food today! It was delicious, timely, and there was plenty! Our bartender was so fun, and made the night even better. The facility is beautiful! It was clean, well set up, and communication was simple and care free! Thank you to all the amazing staff, and facility.“

“We had an outstanding experience at the Duluth Applebee’s bar, and Tory was a huge reason why. He was friendly, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely made the whole experience better. He kept everything moving, made sure we were taken care of, and had a great attitude the entire time.

It’s rare to come across a bartender who makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Tory nailed it. Great service, great energy, and an all-around fantastic experience. Applebee’s is lucky to have him!

“Great service, friendly and quick. Food was decent. Typical bar choices, burgers and pizza. Fries were fresh. Sweet potato fries were pretty good. Ambiance was borderline dive bar. Best thing was great tasting tap beers and cider. Another time a d you could play live bingo, which is that even legal? 8 out of 10, would come back again for the burger and sweet potato fries with a pint.“

They had the most delicious food and my wife who has celiac disease had so many options to pick from for food. They made our night so special and I was beyond impressed. “The only thing I don't like about this place is that when you pay with a card and leave a cash tip they will go back and make you tip again on your card. This last time I went there I had a margarita and the fish fry special on 8/28/26. I paid with my venmo card for the balance and left a tip on the counter. Sooooo not cool. I go there quite regularly and this is not cool.“

“Love the Tappa Keg Inn!! I love the old time charm, friendly (and fast!) staff, and the food!! My favorites are the pork chop special on Tuesdays and the hot beef sandwich. The number one favorite is the Friday night prime rib. Tender and flavorful!!“

“Sorry, we have not eaten at the chalet, but it is so convenient for going skiing at Spirit Mountain. We noticed the other day almost every table was filled & our friend ordered a delicious wrap there. The chalet has many tables in an area away from thd restaurant, and big picture windows to view the ski hill. A woman in a wheel chair was sitting near thd windows & enjoyed watching the skiiers. I believe the lower challenge has better menu items and a nicer dining area to sit in.

Parking: There are handicapped parking spaces, but an uphill climb to the challet on a cement sidewalk. A person in a wheelchair would need some assistance.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, easy to get around with handicapped accessible bathrooms within the challet. Automatic door openers.“

Her little corner is always clean and buzzing with chatter. 9/10 times I will take my kids here after shopping for a coney dog, per THEIR request. It's just THAT good.“

“It is the local can’t miss restaurant, whether you’re thinking a nice sit down steak dinner, or a quick burger and fries in a more casual setting this place has it all and has done it for decades. Great view of Lake Superior, cool model train running through the building… if you’re local you already know, if you’re a tourist add it to the must eat list.“

“We ordered a BBQ chicken salad, bean burger and tots to go, the food was ready for pickup less than 20 minutes after we placed the order and it was fresh and ready to go, decent pricing for what we ordered. Everything was good, the salad could have had more dressing for sure and they did not include silverware or napkins. Not sure if thats standard but it was kinda annoying as we didn't have any at the hotel.“
