“Well, I could easily say it's probably one of the most progressive establishment in the city. The host was very nice and friendly, he was able to explain the nuances of the different beverages they offered. If you would like to try something new and different this is the place to go. All of the taps open with a wristband that you receive at the door. After you get your wristband, you are free to pour your own of whatever you wish. you are charged by the ounce for the beverage you choose or if you choose a flight you get to sample all of them and decide which is the best for you. Get yourself a flight and try new things. they're also very progressive in the sense that they are working with local breweries in a symbiotic relationship that betters the community and the business. I can assure you that if you go there, you will have a good time. Make time for the Duluth Tap Exchange.“
“Recent new owners. Fabulous food. King/Queen prime rib too, featured Friday. Beautiful setting on Little Cloquet R. headwaters. Burgers, soups, salads, drinks....everything we tried was top notch. Excellent fresh deep well water. Everything comes together here for the perfect dining and tavern style experience. Outdoor band on hand tonight. Great time, thanks again everyone.PS. That earlier 1 * review by John was most certainly the previous owners, so take that review with a grain of salt. Owners now are NOT the same owners as 2 years ago. Check dates on the reviews.“
“I cannot express how much I appreciate the vegan options on your menu. Also, I really appreciated whoever designed your website that allows for each category of food to be sorted by “Vegan”. Eating plant based for 7 years, I’ve never seen that feature on a website. Very cool. ? Pizza was incredible. Delivery was freaky fast. Thanks!“
“This is a nice little mall and area to explore near Canal Park. There are some fun shops to browse, including a book store and some jewelry and boutique stores. We also ate here and it was a nice place to sit and eat! Good experience all around. Bummer that parking isn't free“
“Wonderful service! It's a warm welcoming atmosphere with wonderful employees! The owner is pleasant and makes you feel right at home!Wheelchair accessibility: There are 2 entries. Superior Street has a set of stairs that bring you to the downstairs bar, which is located on Michigan Street where there is a wheelchair entrance through the back door.“
“Our favorite place to visit in Duluth! Old jail holding cells converted into a speakeasy and supposedly haunted. Enter through the back alley, head down the stairway underground to walls of stone and dim candle-lit tables. The vibe is awesome and the drinks ridiculously good! Visit close to Halloween and order the Fall Finish.“
“We went here to try their All You Can Eat Friday Night Fish fry as we heard it was very good and sells out fast. All of which is true. You get plenty of fish as a starter, yummy cole slaw, and the thin style french fries. You can ask for more fish if you have tummy room. The fish itself is lightly battered, and large filets are used. By the time we were done with our dinner, they were sold out.Get there early... they start serving at 5pm. We will definitely have this again.Parking: The parking lot is a fair size, but it could get crowded on a busy night.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome, and there are a few kid type games for them to play.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp in the back of the bar, but if someone parks in front of it, it could be hard to access it.“
“Great atmosphere! Bartender had great attention too detailed! He was right there at your service as soon as we were there to sit down at the bar. It was chilled relax and a nice place to have a quick bite and a drink before we went to the hockey game!“
“This is an easy going chill bar. It has cleaned up a bit since my last visit. Still a dive but, I like dives. The patrons seem to be a tich older than the crowd at Ds. No kitchen there so dont come hungy. There is a McDonalds around the block though.“
“Absolutely wonderful experience every time we go there, even when it's a full on dinner rush! Service is stellar, food is absolutely amazing! Tonight I had their catch of the day which was the honey hot salmon - cooked to perfection with a delicious glaze of hot honey to spice it up. And I can't not mention their fresh baked rolls and buns, they are incredible!“
“Went to eat on fish fry night with family and had to stand until seats opened up. Fish was nice and not too hard, rather flaky. Most tables are high top. They do have handicap ramp but not a great seat up inside for it. They often have live music. My suggestion to the owners though is make the parking lot more than earth either gravel or pavement, also add more light at night. I'm glad my rents didn't slip on the icy mud and unseen ruts.Parking: Ruddy earth parking but big. Muddy when wet.Wheelchair accessibility: Have a ramp but most of the tables are high top.“
“Typical Minnesota bar, pool tables, locals, and a real experience. Looks a lot nicer inside than the exterior gives off. The absolute nicest dive bar bathrooms I’ve ever been in. Drinks were reasonably priced around $5 a drink. This is a place where you could easily become a regular.“
“We stopped in to pick up pizzas to take back up to our rooms. I had an NA beer, Two Roots. Great! One friend had a gimlet, with thyme. The next night he had a similar gimlet, with basil. We came in on Fri night of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon, last weekend in Jan, 2023. It was busy, but still pleasant. The pizzas were delicious, also-- one sausage, one mushroom and green olive-- hand- tossed crust.“
“We came in on a recommendation from a friend. Bethany was fantastic! So friendly and personable. She went above and beyond in suggesting great places in Duluth. Absolutely a gem! The atmosphere was phenomenal and the drinks were beyond delicious!“
“Good stairs ,, dont walk on decent stairs to often it was a real treat ,, bellyd up to a fantastic bar ,, smooth but not slippery that tends to be the issue with folks "smoothys" as they say... They get slippery i no i have had my wrist come out from under my fingers a few times... Not fun... So great. Stairs and smooth nonslippery bar , final take is yes it makes the cut !“
“A local bar in Gary New Duluth. It has a great selection of spirits, limited tap beers and bottled beverages. No food but they let folks order from local establishments and bring them in to eat. They have pool, pull tabs, and touch tunes for entertainment. Clean overall and friendly staff.“
“I ALWAYS enjoy going to Curly's and having a drink! Fridays And Saturday nights are karaoke with Mike! The bar is full and everyone seems as if there having a great time! Bartenders are the best! Serves is presented to you as soon as you walk through the door! Owner has amazing self made pizzas that are at a really good price to purchase. And they will throw it in their toaster oven for you to enjoy it right there at the bar! Even better, it is a dog friendly.plqcw!!!! ?“
“We just finished eating a Thanksgiving dinner. The service was fantastic and so was the food. They served turkey, mashed potatoes, coleslaw,, stuffing, and cranberries,. We all got a piece of pie. All for a low price of $21.99. We will go back sometime and check out the regular menu. Great place.“
“Full disclosure- my brother-in-law works here as a part-time weekend bartender.I was back in my hometown over the holiday and my sister brought me here to try their patty melt. I was on a quest to find a good one during my visit from Korea ??.I have to say, it was the best patty melt I had during my visit. There could have been more beef... (maybe a 1/2 lb. burger) but the rye bread was buttered and grilled to perfection. The side of tater-tots was a clincher for me.The price seemed reasonable for the location and I look forward to eating here again on my next visit to my hometown.I will also add that the draft beer selection was more than I expected.Parking: It is a rural location so parking is not an issue.“
“Very nice place with nice staff. We try to always choose places that are locally sourced and grass-fed if possible. A little pricey, but we expect that for quality local products. The only issue is the additional 3% added to EVERY order. Not just credit card orders, even cash. No explanation to that.“
“A fun cozy place to hang out right near the lake. The warm environment makes it a welcoming spot to meet up with friends and family. Food is good and the drinks are cold. So if you are looking for a new spot or just a nice place to check out. This is the place to do just that.“
“What a surprising gem! Came in on a Saturday morning looking for Premier League Futbol. Walked in to find our favorite team on the TV, affordable drinks, friendly service, and the only post-COVID popcorn popper I've seen! Lovely experience and we can't wait to return next time we are in Duluth!“
“Private party, so bar was closed off to public. Bartenders worked their tail off & still friendly and fast. We were 3rd & 4th person in line for food, which oddly was cold. Mashed potatoes were good but no gravy, butter, or anything (strange) to put on them. They did off barbecue sauce “
“I had a blast at the Gopher ...I loved listening to Russel Sackett sing .....he was amazing .. beautiful voice killer songs from the 70s ...it was amazing .... Going back to see him....owner Steve was really cool And available to talk ...and our waitress the beautiful Amanda was beyond phenomenal ....the food was fantastic ..never a disappointment ....had a blast ??♥️“
“We had a fabulous lunch at Clyde's today. Two of us ordered the pork sandwich and I had the BEST smoked salmon salad i've ever had. The sandwiches were great, too. Great industrial vibe, superior service (shout out to Sam, our server), and super good food - we will be back!“
“I take my mom here every time she visits Duluth! She loves the cheese curds. Tonight we both ordered wings, I had the Thai chili and she had bar b que. Both were delicious! The atmosphere is awesome along with great service. Definitely a great spot for your special occasion“
“Great pints - a bit on the expensive side for food, but its good food!Parking: the parking is free in the off season, but otherwise its paid parking with some dumb app that doesn't work half the time. So that is right on par. There is a small parking lot of like 5 spots that Google Maps will take you too, just park next to the hotel next door and hoof it in.“
“My friends and I booked the Premier Golf Suite for a couple of hours. It was a great time, quality simulator and a great space to enjoy a few drinks, food and golfing. The service was prompt and friendly. The Premier Suite is on their second floor and is perfect for an after work outing with some friends.“
“Visited ~10-15 times in the past year. Great place for drinks and watching games. Especially fun during the summer when volleyball is happening and you can be outside. Solid drink specials most days. Food is average at best, but overall still gets 5 stars in my eyes.“
“I went here for my bachelorette party and we were the first ones there, the live music was amazing, the owner was such a sweetheart and the bouncer as well! The environment was so much fun! I 100% recommend this bar if you’re a bride to be or just having a girls night!!“
“I haven been in tapa keg inn since 1988. My friend June J said she has been a customer here for a long time. The waitress Tiffany was very pleasant and I had the meatloaf sandwich and apple pie and raspberry tea. Very good thanks for great cooking. Shef . Ave to come back to try your liver meal.Enjoyed your friendly business.“
“Stopped in yesterday for lunch! Great service at the counter when we ordered. Food took about 15 minutes. Brother got the special sandwich of the day and devoured it. Such a good size for lunch! I got the pesto bruschetta - it was huge! The pesto was delicious, the tomatoes were fresh and the cheese was the perfect amount. 10/10 recommend. My mom got the summer salad with blue berries, strawberries, nuts and cheese. BIG salad but so yummy and fresh. We got to sit outside, enjoy the sunshine and the 60 degree day in March!! Definitely worth the stop in for lunch.“
