“Fitger's is a very popular place that I learned about from my son-in-law who fishes in the area. I can only confirm what thousands of people already know. If you missed Fitger's, you missed Duluth. It has a couple of hundred years of family owned tradition and holds to a high standard in preparing food and brewing beer. Fitger's is adjacent to the boardwalk along Lake Superior and a short distance from the Duluth trading company.“

“This is an easy going chill bar. It has cleaned up a bit since my last visit. Still a dive but, I like dives. The patrons seem to be a tich older than the crowd at Ds. No kitchen there so dont come hungy. There is a McDonalds around the block though.“

“Weakest drink of homegrown, having ordered the exact same thing everywhere I went. Having been a bartender for years myself I’d suggest some training for the staff. Doesn’t need to be extra strong, just adequate. You should taste the liquor.

Service was totally fine on a busy night. Kudos to the staff. I’m sure it was stressful.

“This is a cozy, dark pub spot for when you don’t need a full, varied menu. We popped in during a Saturday evening. My husband had some of Fitger’s own brews, while I was happy to get a Wild State Cider. We shared pretzel sticks, which were hot, soft, and delicious. Great cheese dip, too, with a perfectly thick texture that stayed on the bread. The room is pretty small but wasn't obnoxiously noisy; we had no trouble conversing.“

“The only thing I don't like about this place is that when you pay with a card and leave a cash tip they will go back and make you tip again on your card. This last time I went there I had a margarita and the fish fry special on 8/28/26. I paid with my venmo card for the balance and left a tip on the counter. Sooooo not cool. “Stopped here after having a fun round at the Links. Great selection of beers on tap, service was awesome with a moderately busy crowd, and I enjoyed the Monte Cristo. Great sandwich. Folks were friendly and the one mixed cocktail I ordered let me know it was stiff but not burnt. I have to stop by this gem again. To boot as we were leaving the owner was stepping out too. She asked how golf and food was and was super appreciative when we said we had a great experience. I love patronizing local small business owners and will be coming here as often as possible.“

“Sorry, we have not eaten at the chalet, but it is so convenient for going skiing at Spirit Mountain. We noticed the other day almost every table was filled & our friend ordered a delicious wrap there. The chalet has many tables in an area away from thd restaurant, and big picture windows to view the ski hill. A woman in a wheel chair was sitting near thd windows & enjoyed watching the skiiers. I believe the lower challenge has better menu items and a nicer dining area to sit in.

Parking: There are handicapped parking spaces, but an uphill climb to the challet on a cement sidewalk. A person in a wheelchair would need some assistance.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, easy to get around with handicapped accessible bathrooms within the challet. Automatic door openers.“

“I haven't eaten at BU since the change in ownership, but I use to order with my co workers all the time in past years. (almost religiously lol)
I decided today to order delivery and got The Maverick burrito (because they no longer have the burrito I really loved) When it was delivered and I took my lunch it looked great! They remembered to remove the jalapenos from my order (thank you!) however it is supposed to have a chipotle sauce on it as well and mine did not have ANY on it. So it left the burrito just...meh. It was good but very bland and semi dry without the sauce.
It was a sad disappointment because I was hungry and couldn't finish it due to the blandness of it.
It's not a deal breaker, I will probably try it again someday but ordering after not having BU for YEARS it was bit of a disappointment.
Delivery isn't the quickest but the driver was super nice and polite, next time I will order and pick it up because I can get it way faster that way than delivery. I am still giving it a four star because, hey things happen but I sure wish that sauce would have been on it because I bet it would have been even better!“
