“This is a wonderful, local pub with amazing bartenders (Lori!) and the best folks you could hope to meet. We stopped on our way through town and had such a great time. Everyone was warm, friendly and helpful. Reminds me of how special the people are from Minnesota.“
“I went to Leon George’s funeral in Gilbert, MN., August 2021. The bartender was so awesome as were the patrons. I want to go back in the summer and check out the iron ores. Leon’s relatives were very accommodating and receptive to our visit.“
“Wondered in on a Sunday. Happened to be a Vikings game on. Guy at one of the tables made room for us up front with the locals. How nice is that! Friendly people, visited with us, told us to help ourselves to some food in the back. I'm not a sports fan, but I'd go back. Beer is beer, but those people were great fun! Thanks.“
“Nick's was not listed under restaurants on Tripadvior, but I heard good things. So we got out the old convertible on a beautiful sunny day and cruised over. Friendly service, comfortable decor and terrific food--you have to compete in a small town with 10 bars :) Highly recommended, we will be back!“

“The Shack is a local country bar with basic food and drink. With the surrounding rural areas several miles apart it's not unusual to run into someone you know within avg of 50-75 mile radius. Place is closed on Mondays and the kitchen was closed on Sundays. Think they're looking for another cook to cover.“
“This bar/restaurant was a great choice for dinner. We sat in the back where there are nice booths to allow conversation. I chose the bacon chicken ranch salad. You can have your chicken grilled or fried and I chose grilled. It comes with a warmed breadstick. All the ingredients were fresh. It was a nice lighter meal and a good portion size. We ended the meal with the chocolate lava cake with ice cream. It was quite tasty and presented well. Very pretty. Our server was amazing. She was so efficient and every request was done with urgency. So much energy. All the staff were welcoming. One gentleman had his water glass slip off the table and everyone came to help clean it up quickly. So thankful the Copper Nickel is open on Tue as so many other restaurants are often closed Mon and Tue in the area.“
“Had my brothers celebration of life here and the staff took care of us like family. The service and food was great and was my brother's favorite place to get pizza. He would have loved it.
