Amazing food and great service!!
Such a unique combination of styles. Will be back asap!!
We had an awesome experience with the food fusion. It works! The beef was perfectly cooked along with the upon noodles. I love calamari prepared in such a fresh and tasty way. This is how calamari should be prepared. Nailed it! The pisco flight was the perfect way to try just a bit at a time. I loved it. I can't speak highly enough about the Pervian ceviche is fire! Then the desserts were worthy of making space for as well. Hands down nailed it! 👏 to the 👨🍳! The service staff were wonderful. The only imperfection that was fine for us because we shared every plate, but not all of our main entree dishes came at the same time. We plan on coming back to try more of the fusion dishes!
WOW, this place definitely goes above and beyond both in their food and their service. We had Alvaro as our server and he was absolutely fantastic. He recommended the chef special ceviche, seafood rice And the spicy passionfruit piece of sour. along with our sushi roll and yakisoba, ll of our food and drinks were fabulous. We will definitely be back (can’t wait) and hope to have Alvaro as our server again.
Outstanding authentic Peruvian, has some criollo classics (would love to see Papa a la huancaina) and outstanding Pisco drinks. The staff are so kind and welcoming, always smiling. It is hard to find a Peruvian-only restaurant in Minnesota and this is a gem!
Great place for special ocasions, drinks may be expensive
Food was exceptional and staff were friendly, the chalaco rolls were fabulous. Highly recommended.
There’s so few Peruvian options in the cities that it’s great to have this as an option. The Lomo Saltado did not disappoint. Pisco sour was very good. I look forward to returning.
Amazing quality Peruvian restaurant in downtown Hopkins. Relaxing setting & very flavorful authentic food. Don’t skip dessert!
This month is my wife’s birthday, so I decided to start the celebration by inviting her to a restaurant from her country. We went to the Peruvian restaurant K'kinaco Nikkei & Pisco Bar where the service and atmosphere were very warm from begining to end. While we were enjoying the exquisite food, Chef Enrique came over to say hello and have a short and pleasant chat with us. To our surprise, when we finished dinner, they celebrated Carmen with a dessert made with her favorite Peruvian fruit: “Suspiro a la Limeña de LÚCUMA”. Believe me when I tell you that the food in Peru is delicious, and if you want to find it out, visit “K’kinaco” in Hopkins where we had a very good experience that we also recommend to many.
K'kinaco is an authentic and delightful culinary experience.
My mother is from Lima and it had been years since I found genuine Peruvian cuisine in the U.S. (outside of her kitchen). Enrique, the co-owner, met with us and told us the story of the restaurant and his family's experience coming from Peru (his father was the head chef working that night). I brought my fiancee and her mother and together, we sampled some delicious ceviche and nikkei offerings. I specifically recommend the K'kinaco and Mancora rolls, complex and refreshing sushi options that perfectly marry the flavors of traditional Peruvian fare (e.g., citrusy leche de tigre, sweet potato) with those of Japan (e.g., hamachi, escolar).
To finish the experience off, we shared orders of crema volteada and suspiro de limena, two quintessential desserts from Peru. These were exquisitely presented and equally tasty; they did not last long on our table. We loved the desserts so much we asked Enrique if we could serve them at our wedding in downtown Minneapolis (spoiler: he agreed and they were a huge hit!)
Whether you are looking for genuine Peruvian food, curious about the fusion of Japanese / Peruvian dishes, or simply want to try the national drink of 2 South American countries (obviamente el estilo Peruano es mejor), K'kinaco has what you are looking for. Provecho!

The food was delish! The base sauce in the Ceviche was very flavorful, and it brought out many savory tastes in the various portions of whitefish, roasted corn, & sweet potato. Additionally, our friendly server, Jake, was very helpful in explaining menu items and recommending house specialities and traditional drinks. Thanks, Farmer Jake!
