Basic menu but fantastic execution of the limited options.Great burgers, fried fish, and chicken. The ribs were not our favorite.Service is fast and friendly. Prices are affordable. It is very dark inside so watch your step.
This is a hidden gem of the northern suburbs. Just a. Few mile north of Co Rd 14 off of Hwy 61. Hustled between Hugo and Forest Lake. The Black Smith had some of the best Broasted Chicken Minnesota. This is a no frills local bar and restaurant and it's totally worth the drive. You can't beat a 1/2 chicles, potato and salad, or coleslaw for under $15.00 and less on Thursdays. And the no-frills Bar will not break your wallet. Make the trip up here any day of week!
