“There are very few restaurants that I really want eat at regularly, but Mississippi Pub is one of those. The consistency of the menu is part of that… I know that the wings will be crispy and hot. I know that the brunch items will be savory and plentiful. But the atmosphere is the other. This is NOT fast food! Come to enjoy a cocktail (or an excellent mocktail), the view of the river, and leisurely enjoy the experience. If you’re in a hurry, I’m sure there’s a fast food restaurant you can choose instead 😂“

“Accidentally arrived at Brunson's for lunch because the place down the road where we were supposed to go was closed. Best service I've had anywhere in America since before covid. Food was excellent, made from scratch, and doubt anyone could go wrong on the menu. Highly recommend.“

“Today, they had a Bloody Mary with special toppings. My fav! It’s not a regular thing but they have different things going on so it’s nice to stop by and check it out. They have the wheel and pull tabs. Ohhh…darts too. It’s a cash only bar so make sure you bring cash. Love the bartender, Rachel.“

“Enjoyed a private party in the back room today for past members of Hamline Football. Thank you Pat Boemer, the owner for setting out a lovely table of food to be enjoyed by all. It was delicious. Lovely place, gorgeous water feature, and easy parking in the back all added to a great event. Heads up to staff, particularly Jessica our event host and bartender. She is a gem who hustled and kept drinks filled, added friendly conversation, took group pictures, and kept everything tidy. I hope we can come back and have Jessica once again serve us.“

“When I eat I drink Bloody Mary's they just taste better with my food if I feel like a drink, let me tell you I had a very reasonable priced Bloody Mary and it was on Point I could taste everything in the drink a first for me and it had all the fixings as well, I appreciated that. They also have a place too eat Pop's and Son grill I ordered 4 wings and a brisket topped Baked potato I asked for my wings hard didn't get that but they tasted ok and the brisket was not a lot but also good I didn't bring my wings back because they seemed real busy they brought me someone else's food at first them my order and I appreciated Who I assume was Pop came and talked to his customer's checking on them and their food they gave us A 1 service I work in kitchen's and understand things happen sometimes it's how you react to the situation and after that matters the most and they gave the all. I will try them again because they food is good, and they fact they was busy, busy so that let me know a lil sum People like they food I was also asking people in the line about food and if they been here before and I got more yes than no and good food I heard ok Pop and Sons I'll be back..the bar also had karaoke A good time was had Thanks Cheers“
“Our favorite pub in Como Park to enjoy a delicious cheeseburger with fries, cheese curds and the coldest beer in Saint Paul. Beautiful view of the golf course and Como Lake. Patio seating or indoor tables. You don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy this!“

“Sweeney's was fantastic for hosting our large event. Their Oak Room space was perfect for a group of 120ish people, event staff were extremely helpful in setting up food, drinks, and fun for our guests and took great care of us the night of. Highly recommend as both a neighborhood bar, and as a place to host an event of any size.“
