Bar Harbor is a lovely restaurant that has a lively bar/patio scene for Gull Lakers. They have a terrific piano bar. However, I've never had a really great meal there. It's mostly "Up North" supper club, steaks, chops, burgers etc. that are unimaginably served. I had their Halibut, which was served on a bed of peas and yellow rice, with a sweet tomato topping. Food was excellent! The service was just ok. The server was nice but forgot about our starter. The starter was then brought out with our main meal. Then we weren't asked if we wanted additional drinks; we were basically forgotten about, water refill, etc...
Incredible food, atmosphere and service. My husband and I have been dining at Bar Harbor Supper Club since the 1980s. When we where first married, we shared cocktails, dinner and dancing with his grandparents. In the 1990s, we brought our young sons, arriving in our boat in the summer, sitting on the patio and enjoying top-notch burgers from the grill. We have many glorious memories but last night's dinner, with our grown sons and on Mother's Day, was a new chapter....
