Had a great dinner, sat at the bar. Excellent service and food. 3 party busses showed up, the bar staff were rock stars. Weren’t flustered at all. Very impressed with the staff. All around great place.

Was looking for a quick place to catch a beer and some "bar food' after a day on the lake, so we stopped in. Turns out we were wrong, this place served cold beer from a long menu, had the most courteous staff (were more than happy to deal with food allergies, with a smile) and then served us food that should have been in a top tier restaurant. To say the least we were more than happy and will always come back when in the area.

Cowboys is a must in the Brainerd or Gull Lake area. Although the drive feels a little out of the way, this classic Gull Lake bar has the best cheese curds in the area by a long shot.

My girlfriend and I ate there last night. We don’t eat out often but this was the best food at a restaurant that we have had since last year in Buffalo Wyoming. Costs were extremely reasonable and portions were large. I had the beef brisket dinner and girlfriend pulled pork. Bbq chicken wings nice and crispy. I would eat here all the time if I lived up North
We had walleye with rice pilaf and vegetables and Cesar salad and cheesecake. Everything was wonderful!

Little disappointing ,gave it 3 stars cause our waitress was very sweet and attentive, however it lost stars cause 1 ,I assume some kind of shift leader or manager asked us to move our seats while eating our appetizers (they compt the appetizers ) so they could make room for people they very seemly knew 2.the cheese curds had no cheese and we’re just squishy greasy breading 3.then my husbands walleye had nothing but bones like not even like a regular small amount but nothing but it so he really couldn’t eat it.might give this place another try one day but it’s gonna be a while
