Boyfriend and I decided to take the 45 minute drive to check this place out and I am not at all disappointed! The homemade chips are something I wish I could eat every day, and the prime rib melt was top notch! Super friendly service, will definitely be recommending this place!

The decor features a railroad theme, with a tall caboose standing next to the bar, which adds a very cool and unique touch. Inside, the caboose is used as seating, creating a fun and memorable experience. The menu includes standout dishes like the Thai Peanut flatbread and Reuben sandwich, which guests highly praise. Recently, diners enjoyed Prime Rib cooked perfectly medium rare with a delicious crust of salty rub, served with creamy mashed potatoes that had melted butter, and a fresh side salad with a choice of Ranch, French, or Blue cheese dressing, along with an outstanding bread stick. The fried walleye was also a hit, with a crunchy batter and perfect cooking. The service is friendly, and although the restaurant could use some TLC, the overall experience is enjoyable. Parking is plentiful in the nearby gravel lot. Overall, Choo Choo Restaurant & Bar is a great choice for those looking for a chill dining experience with a railroad twist.
