Just left Hyvee crying.... Older lady cashier belittled me for grabbing too many pears and asking for them to be voided. I asked to have a pound removed and she stared at me said its 4 lbs, and I said I know I cannot afford the entire amount if pears can you please void 1lb. She was very loud short with me, throwing my pears around the check desk, brushing the crap out of them. Rolled her eyes. She told me I shouldn't have grabbed what I couldn't afford.

The HyVee bakery wins again! They’ve made cakes for all my kids’ birthdays for the last 7 years and have always done a great job! This year I took in a picture of what I wanted—2 cakes that were slightly different— and crossed my fingers it would be something they could do... and they nailed it!!! Beautifully decorated (even more than the picture I provided), shaped exactly how I wanted and they are the most delicious cupcakes! HUGE thank you to the talented HyVee bakers and decorators. You rock! You will continue to get my business!

Hyvee supplied our cake and donuts for our wedding and they were sooooo good. Reasonable price, great quality and service and a bonus, delivery. The staff was very attentive to what I wanted and made our cake exactly as I had shown them in a picture.

I had my flowers (shout out to Hannah!) and my cake done here for my wedding and everything was perfect. The flowers were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and the cakes were all gorgeous and delicious. Plus everything was reasonably priced. Floral was especially good, following up with me multiple times and calling if there was any little change from their vendors to clear it with me first. Highly recommended!
I've been shopping Hy-Vee for 28 years and specifically this HyVee since it was built. Thru various construction episodes, store changes, roundabout congestion, Express Care addition and now Aisles online. Progress, I get it. What I hope Hy-Vee takes into consideration with all this progress are their customer's who actually take the time to physically shop their store, regularly. I strongly believe this perspective is being overlooked and possibly forgotten. Specifically,

I ordered a 1/2 pound of prosciutto today from the deli. When I got home and opened it I was floored. It was sliced to absolute perfection. The likes of which I have not seen since I moved here from New York. It made it taste even more delicious than it already is. We have an old expression from back in the day “I want it sliced so thin that you can see through itâ€! Well Karl, you are a master and went way above and beyond that. And I thank you!!

Best chain store bakery hands down. Muffins are fresh every day. Staff have more than once packaged a custom number of buns or rolls for me so I don't waste anything. They have a new donut fryer, which I know is terrible for me, and they are the best. Light and fluffy. And the donut artists back there top them with cool stuff. Dried bananas, cereal, chocolate candy all sorts of interesting choices. Cakes have always been on point too including the ready to go ones. Buttercream frosting or bust.
