I do not know how I have not managed to review this place before now as I have been here so many times that I have lost count. Unlike almost any other restaurant I go to I tend to get something different here each time I come and have liked everything. This last time my wife and I got the two specials to share. I do not remember the specific names of them, but it was a lamb chop and a creamy coated chicken. They were served in a skillet with some onions and peppers. The chicken was very good, but the lamb was out of this world amazing. After speaking to our server after we were a little disappointed to learn that the lamb was only going to be around for a short time as we would both have definitely ordered that again the next time we come. We also always start with the palace sampler platter and have mango lassis to drink. We also get a couple of the different naans for the table. I could not give this place higher praise as the food is always delicious and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I will most certainly be back here again and again (as I already have been). If you haven't been here yet, you absolutely owe it to yourself to check this place out.

This place is a home away from home every time I stop in! Sometimes for take out, sometimes with friends and when I decide to treat myself I enjoy their comfort food while I get a bit of work done. They deliver every time. I’m lucky to live where I can taste a bit of India whenever the mood strikes. ??

I wanted to eat vegetarian Samosa so I ask them do you have separate fryer, they were honest to tell that no separate fryer so I didn't order vegetarian Samosa. We have to be careful even samosa have filling vegetables but fried in same oil where they fry chicken or other meat.Always ask in Indian restaurant before you order.Vegetarian options: Have ok selection of vegetarian but don't eat any fried things because it same fryer.

Ordered take-out dinner that consisted of (i) Aaloo Palak, (ii) Daal, and (iii) Tandoori Roti. (i) was tasteless - no spice and lacking salt. (ii) tasted fine, though was overcooked (the grains in a properly made Daal grains are well cooked but not overcooked that they're mashed up). (iii) was the worst I've ever had and absolutely tasteless. The meal completely upset my stomach (think diarrhea) and I threw the leftovers for obvious reasons.Vegetarian options: Options are good and cover ones typical at any Indian restaurant.

India Palace is a great place for Indian outside the Twin Cities, and just about your only choice for Indian in the Mankato area. Regardless, India Palace is great. I was so happy to find good Indian food and they accommodate spice levels really well. I found that their “3” was a bit too mild for my taste (I prefer the spicier 4 or 5), but was just right for my companion. I love the Lamb Vindaloo and will be back soon to try some more dishes!

If your used to authentic Indian food this is not the place for you. This place is very white washed and sounds good but doesn't taste very good. Americans won't notice but but we do. Shame on you India palace.

A family run restaurant...Food is excellent. I'm not Indian so don't know if it's authentic Indian food but they always get the flavoring right. Great prices for the food. Atmosphere is very familiar with strong ethnic decor. Service is not great everyone looks very serious especially the daughter that is one of the servers she always looks upset. It would have gotten a four if it wasn't for the service but then again it might be a cultural thing.

The food was horrible. As an Indian I would never recommend this place to anyone. Not only is the food horrible the place cheats you and charges you for things you get when you order something off the menu. When you dispute the charges they tell you that no matter how many you order you only get 1 sauce complementary. the sauces are ridiculously price (i.e $2.99 for 1 oz) which should be with your orderDo not dine here if you don't want to get ripped off and eat horrible food.To respond to the reply by the restaurant:1. I have only come twice and I did ask why was the food not spicy as requested. You told me that it was written medium when i specifically asked for spicy. I always give a restaurant a couple of chances before i write it off.2. When you delivered the appetizer I asked where the extra chutneys were and you told me that if I need it for the second appetizer to ask. At that time I was eating the first set I ordered. If i ordered two appetizers I should have gotten two chutneys.your response to me when i asked why i was charged $2.99/chutney you told me that no matter how many appetizers you order that are the same, you only get one chutney. That is ridiculous. When I asked for the two chutneys with my appetizer i was taking home that i was not given chutney to begin with, I should have been told i would have been charged $2.99/chutney. I only realized it when i looked at the itemized receipt after paying. Most restaurants give an itemized receipt before charging the card so we can make sure we were charged correctly. Your restaurant charges the card and then ony do you see what the itemization is.I hold my position that your business practice is unethical and the food is not worth the price.

Food was perfectly seasoned and spiced. I ordered the Mushroom Paneer masala Balti and was floored by the flavor. Rice was perfect and flavorful. I have always ordered the mango Lassi in the past but now after having their Strawberry Lassi I may order that going forward. Thank you for such a great lunch.
