Honestly folks, let's not get too excited here. This is, first and foremost, a hotel restaurant. Almost inevitably, hotel restaurants end up creating menus designed to cater to a very wide range of hotel guests' tastes. That means nothing too experimental, too spicy, or too unusual.

My husband and I had dinner here tonight. I had the chicken piccata which was good but quite a deviation from a true piccata. Instead of the pasta covered with a lemon butter sauce the pasta was served with a tomato sauce. Wait a minute! What? Tomato sauce? The angel hair pasta was delicate but disappointing. My recipe creation is much better. The asparagus was good and the small chicken cutlets were fine but the sauce? Thumbs down. Beware!

I stopped by Olives in Mankato and had the Belgian waffles 🧇 and crispy potatoes 🥔 — absolutely amazing! The waffles were perfectly golden, fluffy inside, with just the right amount of sweetness 🍓🍯. And the potatoes? So crispy, seasoned just right, and totally addictive 🤤🔥.
The staff was super friendly 😊 and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming ✨....
