Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse Reviews
Willing to try again but had the ribeye it was charred and fatty. (Disappointing) potatoes were good, bread was good, lobster roll was good but the banana dessert had rum in it yuk
I brought an out-of-town guest to Pittsburgh Blue around 5:00 on 7/22/25. My wife and I wanted to treat her to a nice dinner to kick off her visit. The steaks were quite literally “terrible”. They were dry, tasteless and overcooked. To make things worse, our server was slow and surly. The total bill for the 3 of us was more than $300, with only 1 shared appetizer and 2 drinks apiece. First time visit. Food was just okay. Nice presentation and tender. Ample serving sizes, but over priced for quality. Nothing stood out as excellent in any course. I have just had much better in multiple other restaurants of same or lower price range around the twin cities. Ambiance was crowded and loud. Service however was excellent.

Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse is a renowned restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. The food is consistently delicious, with the steaks being a particular highlight. The wine selection is impressive, and the service is attentive and exceptional. The restaurant is suitable for various occasions, from a simple lunch to a group gathering. Customers have praised the high-quality cuisine, including the pistachio walleye, petite filet, and seafood tower. The sides, appetizers, and desserts, such as the strawberry cheesecake, have also received positive reviews. While the noise level can be quite high, especially on weekends, Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse provides a memorable dining experience with its focus on quality and service. However, recent reviews suggest that the restaurant has started reducing the experience by charging for bread, which was previously a complimentary treat, and significantly increasing prices over the years.
