Absolutely delicious food!
Finally got to try this place after my family kept raving about it. The food was very delicious, and portion size was large and filling. The horchata and flan were excellent. The service was great as well. I can't wait to come back!!
Authentic menu items. The carne asada in the burrito was great along with the cheese sauce, but too many peppers and onions, not enough meat. My husband the gigantic birria taco. He said the consume was great but wished the meat was seasoned a bit more. Overall, really good authentic flavors.

Mr. Taco Mexican Restaurant & Bar is a cozy spot on the east side of St. Paul. The food is delicious with good portions for the price. The tacos are delightful, especially the carnita meat, and the salsa is always on point. The green salsas (hot and mild) are tasty, and the guacamole is loved. Other menu items include carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas street tacos, a shredded chicken burrito bowl, a torta, the Mr. Taco sampler, pupusas, and a churro dessert. The beans and rice lack flavor, but it is not a deal breaker. The restaurant has a family atmosphere and is great for date night. Options include dine-in or takeout. It has a full bar with ice cold Modelo on tap and cocktails. Prices are decent. This is a contender for one of the best Mexican/S American restaurants in the Twin Cities, offering scratch-made, thoughtfully prepared excellence. Service has been wonderful, though customers may need to ask for salsa or a salt and pepper shaker.
