We visited one week ago for my husbands birthday and were blown away by the food and service! We were so impressed that we came back one week later with my in-laws to share the experience with them.

Another spectacular meal! And our server Santiago was smart, informative, full of great recommendations, kind and funny. My father in law was already planning our next visit before he finished his entree. We will definitely be back again and again! Truly a hidden gem in downtown Minneapolis!

We stopped into 801 Chophouse after a night out, just looking for a glass of wine and dessert—and wow, were we blown away! The Death By Chocolate Cake was absolutely incredible. Rich, decadent, and surprisingly complex in flavor—it was truly a dessert experience, not just a sweet treat. The ambiance was elegant and relaxing, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Even though we only stayed for dessert and drinks, we were treated like VIPs. Can’t wait to come back for a full dinner next time! Highly recommend.

Overrated and overpriced. I expected more from 801 Chophouse, but honestly, it wasn’t worth the money. Even places like Outback or Texas Roadhouse offer better value and flavor for a fraction of the price. If you’re looking for a real 5-star steakhouse experience, Ruth’s Chris is a much better choice. Save your money and dine somewhere that’s actually worth it.

This place was good but not over the top. I came here for my birthday and had an enjoyable time. I ordered the Delmonico steak with au poivre. I found the sauce to be very sweet and overpowering. My partner enjoyed her ribeye without extra garnishment and that is what I'd recommend. The hash browns were good but onion forward.

The service was white table cloth and I appreciated the server clearing the crumbs between courses. It was a busy night so he was a bit backed up, but the food came out quickly.

Absolutely magnificent, dry age ribeyes was delicious. Bone marrow was rich, and lobster tail was mouth watering.

Don't forget the raw oyster on top of that too, taste so fresh.

I’ve enjoyed many meals here and always had excellent service and food. HOWEVER, they need to change their playlist. It’s hit and miss, emphasis on the miss. Seriously, I’ve heard Uptown Girl every time I’ve visited!
