Very good, if very pricey, steak and seafood house. Quiet, comfortable, and artistic ambiance, excellent service. Fabulous Manhattans.Only knock is for the disappointing preparation of Chilean Sea. Much wad made of the fingerling potato confit. It was a dreadful. (Try Crave for their Sea Bass!)But lobster bites (again, very pricey) and chicken (somewhat reasonable) were excellent,Had it not been Friday in Lent, two of us would have tried the filet. The beef tray looked very good. We'll return.

We walked in and my first impression wasn’t great. The manager was short and standoffish. But our waiter Aj more than made up for it. He was AMAZING. Funny, knowledgeable, patient and very welcoming. He brought out all the meat and explained what each one was and how they’re prepared. We had the A3 Wagyu ribeye, hashbrowns and scalloped potatoes. It was all great. The hashbrowns were crispy and flavorful. The scalloped potatoes had an amazing breading and cheese. The wagyu was melt in your mouth. This is our new favorite place for getting a ribeye. Thanks Aj for a memorable night.

Was a great steak, tuna tartar was outstanding. Waiter was fantastic Drink prices are a bit steep. Wine prices also a bit on the high side. Overall will be back for the food but will check for a corking fee and bring own wine. Sat in the bar area in a booth so was quite loud but would like to return and experience the dining room

This has been our favorite spot over the past couple years and tonight, we left fully disappointed. To begin, we were not asked if we were celebrating anything special, when we were out to celebrate a birthday and a job promotion. Our hash browns were forgotten about, and server acted as if there was a mis-communication. At the end, nothing was comped or even apologized for. Our server also lacked in checking in on us at all throughout the meal. Needless to say, we left very disappointed and will need to find a new favorite steakhouse.

Right when I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and wished a happy birthday. They bedazzled the table with birthday stuff and they all autographed a menu for me. I’d go again.

Our waitress or bus boy left our water glasses at low levels without refilling during our course. Our waitress approaches with dessert menu while we were halfway through our main course, and placed it on our table. Our food was delicious and prepared to our liking.

The service at 801 Chophouse in Minneapolis is consistently outstanding, and our encounters with Minh are always a highlight. The quality the food, drinks and service never fails to impress us, but it's Minh who truly makes each visit unforgettable. Her ability to recognize us every time we return is astonishing and adds a personal touch that makes us feel incredibly valued. Minh is the gem of 801, and she's the main reason why we continue to come back when we choose to dine downtown.

Best meal we have had in Minneapolis! Our waiter was attentive when needed and a wealth of knowledge on the menu items. The manager came over to check out how everything was which I appreciate! The entire staff from valet to bus boys were wonderful. The steaks amazing!!! The Truffle butter was spot on and the sides were wonderful. Only one issue of the steak being a tad undercooked for my granddaughter but the flavor was so good she didn't mind. It's spendy but so worth it!

Very much enjoyed our whole fish (branzino) and chorizo scallops…they are still ironing out some stuff, but a good experience.

Our first time here, we had a belated Valentine's Day dinner. We got the Sunday supper: salad, steak or salmon, and dessert for $56/each, a good value compared to the full menu prices. Service was outstanding, food wonderful.

Came in for an anniversary dinner with my wife. Beautiful restaurant we got seated in a corner booth seat which we appreciated. Our server Meredith was great and attentive and the steak presentation but before serving was nice . We had margaritas which were delicious. Started off with their meatballs which were savory and flavorful. We ordered their Wet Aged Ribeye and the Surf n Turf with Broccolini and Lobster Mac and Cheese for sides. . My wife really enjoyed her steak. The surf and turf was great. The base sauce in the plate was almost sweet, loved it. The broccolini was amazing and the lobster Mac and cheese was tasty , although it was a tad salty for my taste in some bites. Definitely a special occasion place for us, the prices were up there but i thought it was worth it. Will definitely come back one day. Also they gave us a little dessert treat on the house at the end which we liked.
