We have gone to Bill’s for years but this is the worst it has ever been. The food was cold, The chicken and fried rice was dry. We spent a lot of money and couldn’t eat the food. Sadly we won’t be coming back because it’s just too expensive since to end up not being able to eat it.

The Mei Inn about a mile away is better in my opinion. Take out only and worth every penny.

Flew in from CO and just experienced the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in the US so far. We were in the neighborhood and caught a delicious smell of Chinese food, so we wandered around until we found this place and man, the food was as yummy as it smelled! We had cheese wontons, egg flower soup, and chicken with broccoli. The wontons had a thin delicate crispy fry on them and were filled with cream cheese, the soup had a rich broth - one of the best we’ve tried, and the sauce on the chicken with broccoli was so flavorful and the broccoli was still slightly crispy. Not sure who this chef is, but this will be a must go-to every time we’re in Minneapolis. Nice work guys! Delicious food, friendly staff, clean restaurant, at a great price. Go check them out!

I love bill's, been eating here since I was 10. Had dinner last night and everything tasted so good!!! I do miss the old school BBQ pork with the red sauce. The chicken wigs are always so crunchy and fresh!

I don't recommend wasting your time at this place.. dirty, takes a long time to cook... It's better to drink from a puddle

Waited and waited and waited. Took 50 minutes before I finally went and asked the cashier about my order again. Turns out it was sitting on his counter the whole time and he didn't call my name as he was doing for all the other customers. Not a big deal. Get home to eat, and first thing on my fork is a 4 to 6 inch long black hair in my chicken fried rice. Last time I ordered here, two items were missing and they cannot provide refunds. Poor execution all around and poor sanitation practices.

Great spot for that Chinese food from your childhood small town strip mall. The atmosphere is stark at best and be prepared for some off-putting smells. Grab your food to-go if this might bother you. That being said, the food here makes it all worth while. We ordered the egg foo young and the Szechuan tofu. Service was slow, but the staff here are kind and apologetic -great people. The Szechuan sauce was the perfect balance of salty umami with a touch of sweet, and heat that creeps up on you. The veg really was cooked to perfection. Cooked through, but still a nice crunch remaining. This was my first egg foo young experience and it was great. That brown gravy is special stuff. The best part of the experience after the food, is getting the check. This place is impossibly affordable. Two people can easily split one entree and still have leftovers. If you're looking for that old school strip mall hidden gem, this place will tick that box.

I called in a take-out order, BBQ pork chow main & fried rice, at Bill's Garden this evening, on December 31, 2024. The pork was very stringy & chewy (grissel & fat). I set it aside on a plate for inspection. I then notified Bill's via phone and spoke to the order taker who offered no apology and told me to bring it in. He explained that the BBQ pork is typically a little long, but he declined to comment on its quality. He offered me another replacement order of plain ( ground beef) chow-men, less the upgraded $4 fried-rice since I had mentioned eating some of it.

Upon returning the meal, the same front- desk order taker, a new young man, quickly glanced at the plate and complained that I had eaten "half of it!" He then handed me a smaller bag containing plain chow main with hard noodles, but no rice.
He offered me no apology, even though I had mentioned being a frequent customer for over 20 years. They lost a good customer over a little tough meat and a handful of rice.

The food here is just wrong. There are better places to eat if you want Chinese.

One of my favorite Chinese spots in the TC. I'm obsessed with the Szechuan chicken and always get cream cheese wontons.

Had the moo shu and chow mein and both were disappointing. The general tso’s chicken was the saving grace.
