Blue Door Pub University Reviews
I used to love the food at the MSP Blue Pub but lately the quality has been quite poor. Got a classic blucey and it was the size of a slider and vastly overcooked. The tots had been fried for way too long too. Had a hot chicken sandwich last time and it was also not good. They gave me 10% off but I’m thinking I may not come back. Bummer
Ordered in a group, and one person didn’t get their juicy lucy. The waitstaff was very nice about it, but it was still a disappointing experience. We talked about how terrible the guy who didn’t get his burger felt for hours. Good thing we were going to a comedy show…but he hated it because he didn’t get his burger.
I loved BDP for years, went to Longfellow BDP and was so dissatisfied in the burger, the main reason to go! My blucy didn’t even have cheese inside. Not to mention the ordering was so impersonal, and the interaction of the “local tavern” you used to go there for is gone. What a sad day to scratch BDP off my list of reliable goto burger pubs in the town cities!!

Blue Door Pub University is a neighborhood burger bar with a relaxed atmosphere and a good beer selection. They serve juicy lucys, including the spicy Mount Blucuvious, and crispy fries. Customers enjoy the well-cooked burgers, especially the peanut butter burger, which is praised for being juicy and very good. The beer Bloody is delicious, and the fried pickles add to the enjoyable experience. The place has a friendly, easy-going vibe, with good service and a casual setting. While some dishes like the Blucy can be a bit challenging to eat because of large buns, many find the food consistently tasty and plan to return to try other items. The atmosphere is lively, with college games often on, and the fries and cheese curds are highly recommended. Customers also appreciate the outdoor patio, where burgers, tator tots, fried pickles, and even a side salad are served. The restaurant can be a bit short-staffed at times, but overall, it remains a popular local hangout.
