This is an instant favorite! Cannot go wrong with literally anything on the menu!
We had a large group so I got to sample a verity of different dishes. The chicken is fantastic and the pork was so juicy. Creamed spicy spinach is a must try even if you don't like spinach.
Always super consistently good food and nice folks working - some of the best rotisserie chicken in Minneapolis and the catfish is life-changing.

Always good! The service is awesome and I love when it’s nice enough outside to have the garage doors open. Such a great neighborhood destination!

It was our first time visiting Brasa. Mara was our server. She made several recommendations on what we should eat. We ended up with a rotisserie chicken sandwich with gravy. It was excellent. We also had the upside down pineapple cake. Out of this world! Very pleasant customer service when we entered, and overall a great experience. Can’t wait to go back.

I recently revisited after the menu changes, and I’ll say one thing upfront: the current format is more streamlined than before. Now the standard option is meat with rice and beans plus one side, which simplifies ordering.
That said, there are still some frustrating limitations. You can’t substitute the rice and beans for rice with pigeon peas. If you want that option, you have to order it as your side, meaning you end up getting rice twice (rice and beans + rice with pigeon peas), which doesn’t make much sense.
Also, cornbread is no longer included and is now a $2 add-on, which feels like a downgrade from what used to be part of the meal.
Overall, it feels like the menu is pushing everyone toward the rice and beans combo instead of allowing a bit of flexibility. I think a better approach would be to let customers choose between different rice options or allow simple substitutions.
I’ve been coming here for years, so I hope they consider adding a bit more flexibility back into the menu.
After a walk around Lake Harriet, my group of 3 stopped in for a Friday evening impromptu dinner. The location’s answering machine said no reservations and we walked in to no wait. That fact could change, so check online or give their number a call to hear it yourself. Service was perfectly paced and the food was great. There’s a convenient spot to only order takeout.

My first time here, I ordered the rotisserie chicken with a side of candied yams, and a side of mac n cheese. The chicken was overcooked, dry, the Mac and cheese was a bit runny. My friend enjoyed his meal he had the smothered chicken, still was a good experience. I will go again, sometimes restaurants have an off night. I heard good things about this place, so I will not let one dry chicken breast stopfron becoming a ling time customer.

We hired Brasa Catering for our wedding and couldn't happier with the food and service they provided. We received multiple comments that it was "one of the best wedding meals they've had" from a few guests. Not only was the food delicious, but the crew was extremely kind and went above and beyond for us. Thank you again for everything, we'll keep you in mind for future events!
Excellent food. We always ordered the smothered chicken and creamy spinach.

Good food in a fun location! Right of the Bryant bike trail, so a great place to bike to for a quick dinner. The vegan sandwich was delicious if you are a guac fan.
