Cardigan Donuts were a huge hit at our wedding! Everyone loved them and kept talking about how good they were. Working with their team was an absolute breeze from start to finish, and we really appreciated the personalized touches that made everything feel special. Perfect dessert choice for our celebration!

I got two donuts the other day, and remembered getting coffee with it so I asked the girl cashier and she rolled her eyes, and proceeded to ask the guy next to her, and he says oh that is only Monday. How she didn’t know that working there is funny but to have an attitude with me about something I was right about I’ll be avoiding this location, and going to the IDS one.

Wow! Absolutely delicious! I can usually walk past a donut but these donuts were looking really good behind the case. But even the donuts on display looking incredibly appetizing didn’t even prepare me for the level of freshness and deliciousness they harbored! I intended to get better pics but I had to control myself just long enough to snap a shot.

I got the rhubarb (pictured) and the berries and cream (I think it’s called) with a free coffee (buy 2 donuts get a free coffee).

Oh and the store is nicely decorated and the
lady behind the counter was friendly! Thanks for a great experience!

My go-to for donuts and coffee! They have pretty standard and typical donuts, and then they have two donut specials which rotate out twice a week which make it pretty special. The coffee is good enough that sometimes I'll go here just for the coffee even when I'm not getting a donut. It's a nice chill place to work for a few hours too. And the music they have playing is pretty much always good and suits the atmosphere.

The one downside for me is that they only offer cold drinks via delivery through services like DoorDash. The reasoning is that they don't want to serve hot coffee and have it be cold by the time it arrives, but personally I just see that as part of the DoorDash experience and I'd rather have the option than not.

Cardigan used to be my favorite donut shop in Minnesota. But lately, I’ve tried twice and been super disappointed both times. Last time I pre-scheduled a drop off order for 8am. 10:30 rolled around, no delivery, no communication. I called and they just said “oh yeah, it’s been a busy delivery day. If you needed your donuts for a 8:30 meeting, you should have said that in the notes of your order.” What?! Why would I schedule a drop off time if it’s ignored? Then in my order this morning, all I could taste in the old fashioned’s was the fry oil/lard. They notoriously had the best old fashioned donuts because they had a creamy vanilla flavor. The oily taste was terrible and I ended up throwing out the old fashioned. Additionally, the iced cake donuts looked like this. A little extra care and frosting would make them 1000x more aesthetically appealing. These just look terrible. Nobody wants to go downtown anymore, and you guys used to be a reason to make the trip; but not for me anymore, and not for my business meetings anymore. Such a bummer, quality and service has completely tanked in the last few years.

The lightest fluffiest tastiest donut I have ever had. The coffee was incredible too. I can’t wait to come back. So so good.

Edit to add in 2025 - every time I come to the cities we stop, even if we aren’t close. The donuts are perfect, in every way.

It was hard to find. In what felt like an abandoned mall. The staff was nice and the donuts were good. No bathroom or place to wash your hands. Overall I got a weird vibe. But the donuts were good.

We had cardigan donuts cater for our wedding and they were absolutely amazing! The Cardigan team was incredibly easy to work with and great and communicating with us throughout the process. Day of delivery was very smooth and the donuts were an absolute hit (we barely had any left at the end of the night) and we had people asking us for weeks after where they can get more!! We would recommend Cardigan for ALL your donut needs!

This is my current favorite donut shop in the twin cities. They have the best glazed old fashioned in town, and the other items I tried were also very good.
