Absolutely terrible experience. I would not recommend Caspian Bistro to anyone.
My bill was supposed to be around $25, and I left a $5 tip. Somehow, I ended up being charged about $75 on my bank account. I reached out multiple times trying to handle the situation calmly and privately because I understand mistakes happen, especially with small businesses. Instead of taking accountability or fixing the issue, I was ignored and given no honest explanation.
I even asked for receipts and tried giving them several chances to correct the charge before posting this review, but nothing was done. At this point, I’ve had to dispute the charge with my credit card company because I genuinely feel scammed.
The worst part is not even the overcharge — it’s the complete lack of professionalism, honesty, and customer service afterward. If a restaurant can’t properly handle customers’ payments or resolve billing mistakes, they should not be trusted with anyone’s card information.
Save yourself the stress and avoid this place. Double-check your bank statements if you’ve already been here.
Caspian Bistro is so good. I am a vegetarian and they had lots of veggie options including a delicious sampler platter with hummus, salad, spinach pie, feta and dolmas. The meat dish my friend ordered was falling off the bone. Friendly service and a family-owned place—and the house tea blend with tart cherry juice was phenomenal!

The owner of this restaurant/shop is just devine. I go here to buy tea (they have an amazing selection if Ahmed teas, as well as several other brands) as well as whatever other goodies I see! He always is so sweet and usually has some story to share with us as we check out. He had quinces on display, so we were blessed with a beautiful story involving a recipe his Mother used to make with them. Made me feel nostalgic for big families, slow/home cooking, people with manners and grace and old-world style. And this day, we also stayed for a warm bowl of lentil soup (not on the menu) with fresh pita and a cup of hot house blend tea.... perfection on a cold MN day! Chef's kiss!!!

My friend brought me here for a birthday dinner. She found out about this place through tiktok. I loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. My friend ordered one of the Chelah kebab. I ordered lamb Collar. Great portion sizes. Great service.

An authentic Persian gem!
Caspian Bistro beautifully reflects the warmth and elegance of Persian culture. From the moment you enter, the aroma of saffron, the traditional décor, and the genuine hospitality make you feel truly welcome. The soup was absolutely amazing — rich, comforting, and full of flavor. Every dish, from the tender kebabs to the fragrant rice, tasted homemade and full of heart. The adjoining market adds even more charm with its fine Persian groceries and sweets.
Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates authentic flavors and heartfelt service!

We had lunch with the order of beef and chicken koubideh and ghorme sabzi, doogh, faloudeh and saffron ice cream.
The atmosphere is nice and very traditional. The fact that there's a store right there with good products is also very convenient.
However, there were some maintenance required specifically in the bathrooms (broken locks).
The food was ok. The faloudeh and doogh were great! They give you separate lemon and cherry juice so you can add to your faloudeh to your liking. They also serve salad and pita bread with each order which was very nice. The koubideh was dry, ghorme sabzi was a little overcooked. Ice cream also didn't feel very authentic.
The staff is friendly and nice but we had to wait for some time to get service and i wish they checked on us more frequently.
Overall, i recommend the store, but the food was very average.
