We did takeout for my mom’s 81st birthday and she LOVED it! The flavors were excellent and the portions plenty large. The crowd favorites were the Chelou Kabab Koubideh and the Chicken Soltani. The matriarch really liked her dolmeh and tabooli. There was one dish that didn’t travel well (Shish Kabob) as it was dry and tough/chewy, but we all felt like it would have been great in restaurant. We capped it off with 2 kinds of baklava (gift from the restaurant) and everyone enjoyed. Thank you for all the delicious food!

Came here for dinner and it was a really nice atmosphere. I love the market and the aesthetic of the interior. Really nice place to be and very clean.

Food was pretty mediocre overall. Chicken and lamb koobideh lacked flavor, pretty bland and needed a bit of salt. Portion were quite generous for the entree and were plentiful.

The veggie platter was quite good for the price and enough for 2 people.

Fries were lack luster and not crispy enough. Also the portion size for $5 is not worth it. Literally 20 pieces of fries in there… also needed salt and pepper.

Tea was just Lipton tea, they said it was a made with leaves from back home LOL.

Spicy sauce he provided us was really good, pretty off putting when he said it was 4 days old though lol. I didn’t like hearing that…

Overall a good spot, I’ll give it one more try but needs a bit more to elevate the dishes.

Tasty, authentic food. Tea was glorious.
Kind service from gentleman working, he explained all the dishes very well and was kind. Service was A bit slow, but I think they may have been understaffed. Market is fantastic!

Why your website said that the restaurant is open while it’s not?
We had come a long way and found the restaurant closed.

Food used to be full of flavor, not anymore, unfortunately. The place itself can use some upgrades: new chair cushions, fixing the lock in one of the women's restrooms. It is not the place I recalled from my time at the U. This was my last visit. In the positive, the place was clean and the lady bringing and picking up the dishes was very kind.

It's pretty good - a bit of a dip since the old days, but still decent for the price

A hidden gem I’ve returned to for years, this Persian market and restaurant offers consistently authentic, flavorful dishes, a welcoming atmosphere, and a treasure trove of hard-to-find ingredients, making every visit a delightful experience.

I was dining with my family and a woman came in to chat with our server. She politely explained to him the impact of their interaction in the parking lot. He then began berating her and her friend without taking her feedback into consideration. As a fellow service worker myself this was a completely unacceptable way to respond to customer feedback, even if it seemed unwarranted (which it didn’t seem to be)

It’s a shame the staff is so horrible because this is a super cute place. My friends and I parked in their back lot, thinking they weren’t open, as we got out to walk around the corner one (unbeknownst to us) a staff member came marching up to me and my friends from the loading dock and starts out “where are you going?!” in a very forward and intimidating manner. I didn’t respond, feeling uncomfortable as I had no clue who this man, or the other two on the dock were and where they worked,
and he continued to press, asking where we were going twice more, walking closer to me, before saying “I’m sorry to be personal but where are you going?!”. we then answered and he decides to talk (literally) down at us, telling us we had to leave, leaving us uncomfortable and scared. After moving our vehicle I went into the establishment to thank him kindly for letting us know we couldn’t park there, and ask that next time he not question people in an intimidating and creepy manner, rather just let them know this is Caspian parking, head that way to get to the restaurant and if you aren’t going to the Caspian, you can’t park here. This man then starts raising his voice and moving in towards me for having the audacity to politely thank him for letting us know we couldn’t park there and letting him know that how he went about was scary. I tried to explain that I was sorry for parking there and just ask that he be more aware of how he comes off to people he interacts with. he repeatedly tried to make me the villain, even though I admitted my wrongdoing. he refused to listen to me, continuously interrupted me, and unnecessarily escalated the situation in front of a table of 8 dining in their establishment. I apologized to the table once I realized this man would not hear a word I said, and left the restaurant. A situation I expected to be a 1 minute “here’s the thing”, “thank you for letting me know” turned into 5 minutes of this man aggressively berating me.
