Charlie's Minneapolis Club offers a special dining experience with a unique menu. The ambiance is charming, creating a dark wood moody perfect ambiance that feels exclusive. From the ladies' bathroom amenities to the bread service at the start of the meal, every detail is well thought out. Standout dishes include the artichoke dip, French onion soup, oysters, lobster, and "to-die-for" French fries. Drinks are impressive as well, featuring fun twists on classic cocktails, though cocktail preparation can be a bit slow. The wines were good and big pours.

Parking is convenient, either validated at the restaurant or in nearby ramps. While the service is attentive, there is room for improvement in the response time between courses. The NY Strip entree was overcooked but still deemed acceptable. Although a service charge replaces the need for tips, there was a noticeable delay in providing silverware between courses. The prime ribeye special was under seasoned and the popovers came out too crispy and burnt. The Wellington was good, but the wild rice soup was very bland. Dessert was tiny and tasted fine but seemed like it wasn't fully thawed out. The manager was very friendly and comped the first round of drinks and dessert for a special occasion. This is a slower pace restaurant where they want you to stay a while.
