Horrible customer service. I don’t think they realize how unspecial they are. Rude and inconsistent.

We don’t live in Minneapolis but because of a long layover we decided to explore the city. We came across Spyhouse Coffee on Nicolett Ave. We love visiting local cafes so we ordered flat whites and pastries. The coffee was good, but the pistachio mochi donut I ordered was incredibly good. I’d drop by again just for the donuts. The Nicolett location has a nice, relaxed ambience. We also visited the downtown location, based in the Emery Hotel lobby, which has an entirely different vibe.

Apparently a Minneapolis institution and I tried one of their locations and was suitably impressed by their great coffee.

Coffee Express is to the left when you first walk in the front door at 6500 Excelsior Blvd. They serve Caribou Coffee & select pastries, limited options compared to a full blown Caribou, but this proper little shop is a welcome addition to the 1st floor at Methodist Hospital.☕ A lot of seating adjacent to the shop, away from the heavily trafficked area & lots of sunshine.? Were I to visit Methodist Hospital again, Coffee Express would be one of my 1st stops.
