Dexters is the best! I came in last Monday right after they opened, and shortly after a very large group swarmed the bar. Mariah and Vivian seemed to handle this large group with ease while still paying attention to their other bar guests. Highly recommended the elote burger and a cocktail of the moment!

The food is always excellent! 100/10 I have tried almost everything on the menu and I promise you it is all delicious! Sometimes the service is hit or miss but I will keep coming back anyways!

Too expensive for normal food.
I ordered the salmon and it was only a piece of salmon no sides.
I ordered a cocktail and was all ice.
We dropped into Dexters at 5:00 for a bite and several cocktails. I was underwhelmed by the decor and surprised that a Del Prado restaurant would be so blah. Browns and beiges dominate, and the space looks like an old elementary school with some kitchen and restaurant equipment shoved into it. We sat at the Formica bar, ordered drinks from the young staff, and checked out the American food menu. I stuck to the happy hour choices and fell in love with the potato waffles. The chicken sandwich and burger were good also. Next time, I'll try the Chicken Milanese. I liked Dexter's, especially when the vivacious Vivian, our barkeep, recognized me from Minari. My ego needs that. However, I wished Dexter had more visual style and panache. My aesthetics needs that.

I went here twice and absolutely loved it. We were telling all our friends. Unfortunately during the Edina art show we stopped by and had a very disappointing experience. It seemed like the burger bun changed. My chicken sandwich was overcooked and the breading was stale. It was so bad we aren’t sure we can justify coming back and no longer recommend Dexters.
Update: Came back with friends on their request. This time was a disappointment again. Final straw with poorly made food. The oil that was cooking the food was clearly dirty and made the food tasted burnt.

The burger was tasteless and greasy, the fries were mediocre. We had the Elote burger and the chicken sandwich. Two beers. The sandwich was weak. Do yourself a favor, save your money and go across the street to Raag or Red Cow for a much better meal.
Great burgers and interesting cocktails. Very friendly and helpful staff, too.

Great vibes, fantastic service, and delicious food! The cinnamon dry rub wings are next level and the unique burgers are great!

Cocktail was great, food was good, service was great, atmosphere was a little beige. Fries are extra but are cooked in beef tallow so worth it in the end. Offering root beer/Dreamsicle floats are a nice unique addition for kids.

After having cocktails and cheese curds, we were informed they were out of wine, beer, and steak. I am still wondering how a restaurant runs out of beer and wine. It isnt like these are products that quickly go bad. The only explanation is incompetent management. We had to go somewhere else to get dinner. The server also took 15 minutes to greet us.

The tuna melt was classic Midwestern - heavy on the mayo and bland. For this California native it lacked flavor. Looking at my companion's burgers, I regretted not getting one instead. They both said the ingredients were fresh tasting and a decent burger. They rated it 7/10. The Naked in Tulum cocktail was unique and delicious.

Solid 4 stars. Smash style burgers. Server pushed for the double and also for the up charge fries vs chips. Because they are better? Or because of the extra revenue? Not sure. Double burger was worth it. Had the California. Would order again. Chocolate gelato was very good. Overall, is it better than Redcow across the street??? I don't know. Reddcow would probably be first choice.

Unbelievable restaurant. Perfect balance of causal and fancy. Food is incredible and service is great. Rock shrimp app is my favorite. Same with all the burgers, steak frites and the rigatoni. Will continue to come to this restaurant and recommend it to everyone.

What a wonderful experience! My fiancé and I went to dinner here on a Friday night to celebrate our anniversary. Princess was our server and she was AMAZING. We loved her energy, she was quick and attentive, had great recommendations and made the experience so much better than we expected.
My fiancé ordered the elote burger which was delicious. I got the fish and chips, they are crispy, fresh, and the fries were thick but still crisp and delicious. We also split the avocado feta dip with was light, bright and delicious.
Princess so kindly gave us a delicious orange tiramisu and glass of champagne to end the wonderful dinner. I couldn’t recommend dinner enough especially with Princess.
