Currently sad about the loss of the buckwheat chocolate chip cookie, which is in my top two favorite cookies of all time. My 11 year old daughter called it her favorite. Our little family of 4 has been going to Farmer’s Kitchen for years. My 11 year old always ordered a buckwheat chocolate chip cookie and a lemonade. It’s been tradition until recently when the bakery disappeared. I realize kitchen transitions are going on but this is my plea to bring back that buckwheat chocolate chip cookie. Right now my 11 year old is asking for Starbucks instead of our trip to farmer’s kitchen because of the loss of the cookie. We love you guys and that cookie. Please return the buckwheat chocolate chip cookie!!🍪

We had reservations before a show at the Guthrie. We placed drink and dinner orders. Tables seated 30 minutes after us received food before a second waiter came and asked for our order again. On top of poor service, the food was not good. We asked and were told no tomaoes on this sandwich. The shore lunch came with tomatoes and was 50% breading. The beef sandwich was dry - not fresh. Both sandwiches came with store-bought tortilla chips.

Attentive staff. Food way above average. A little pricey, but what ya gonna do downtown that's not.

I dont usually do this but this is semi comical mostly ridiculous. We ordered the fish sandwich and upgraded $3 dollars to get the Jo Jo Potatoes instead of the chips. When the food came out we were blessed with three slivers of potatoes. When we asked about it they stated that is how the side comes and they share the same frustration. On the appetizer menu there is a $6 dollar order you can get which comes with 5 fries per the staff, almost a whole potato! Great atmosphere but dang, stay away from the Jo Jo Potatoes!

Very high prices, 15 grilled cheese with wet chips from a substandard pickle and the 20% tip added in without notice, with the Minneapolis taxes added in $135.00 we will NOT BE BACK, decent service, atmosphere ok, food sucked, price was not in line with the exorbitant price

Chicken noodle soup was delicious, but I was surprised it had a red base, most likely tomato or veggie base? The wild rice soup had potential but ,wow, way too much garlic in this batch. We raise garlic and love it but no, not this time. The table bread was perfect for the soup.

Unimpressed and actually pissed. I can't believe I just paid $39 for two eggs, bacon, pancakes and a latte! I'm one person eating one breakfast and being charged that much is insane! The bacon was worse than what I can get at a grocery store Absolutely nothing special about it. I thought it was supposed to be smoked bacon from the farm, but it tasted like the cheapest, thinnest stuff you can buy at Walmart. Will never go back. Sorry, I grew up on a farm so looking at that meal, knowing it's the most basic thing (I could make myself) and recognizing that I was billed for what I pay for groceries that would feed me for weeks makes me sick at my stomach. Also it was just super weird that they called it their brunch menu, but it's like the simplest breakfast item ever. I'd rather spend my money at Hells kitchen and get something interesting and tasty.

Visiting from out of town and found this place, which happened to be next to the Farmers Market. You reserve a table, then order at the counter and the food is brought to you.
Lots of fresh farm-to-table options for brunch, from pancakes and waffles to Eggs and hash. I’m a savory breakfast person and opted for the Harvest Bowl. It was loaded with veggies: Sauteed spinach, mushrooms and heirloom tomatoes with a bed of farro and poached eggs on top. Also came witha generous portion of kale pesto and tomato jam, both which were unbelievably good. I ate EVERY bite and enjoyed it very much. You could tell the ingredients were fresh, including the eggs.
My dining companions opted for eggs as well. My husband enjoyed the hash as well, which had steak in it. My matcha latte was delish as well - happy to have a sugar-free option.
Cute atmosphere, a vintage farm vibe, and lovely outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. Come here!

Liked this place, right by the Farmer's Market. Order at the counter and you sit at the bar or tables. Was lucky and it wasn't terribly busy, so got a table. Turkey sausage is good, not a lot of salt, which is what I prefer. The Mill City Breakfast Sandwich was the best thing on the menu. Decent Bloody Mary, needed a bit more spice, so ask for extra spicy. Enjoyed my meal.

I got the field burger and the spicy margarita. The burger wasn't anything special. A decent burger, but that's just it. The margarita was very good. A good spot for dinner before seeing a musical next door.
