Definitely a must try! I ordered the cherry limeade, the Royale, and the S'more pockets. The first two were delicious, but the S'more pocket was absolute perfection!! Though, be prepared for it to be messy lol.

Hippo Pockets has some seriously good food. The pizza-style crunchwrap was packed with flavor, perfectly crisp on the outside and cheesy inside. The waffle fries were golden and seasoned just right, a great combo overall.
That said, the wait time was rough. About 45 minutes to get the food, which definitely tested my patience. Still, once it arrived, it was clear the quality was there. If they can speed things up a bit, this place would easily be an all-around 5-star spot.

Good, affordable food! I’m glad there’s a unique and casual restaurant in the neighborhood. My only suggestion is to make the tofu (that was in the Korean BBQ bowl) more flavorful.

Excellent food, easy ordering, clean dining room, great hippos. Only thing is it feels a tad pricey. My meal, a standard pocket + ranch + chips and a soda was about 20 bucks alone before tip. Still will go back, probably skip the chips and ranch next time, honestly didn't even need them.

Disappointed in the meal I spent 67$ on 3 pockets and 2 drinks and 2 of them have no meat and all the meat is on one side and over half of it is vegetable and sauce even when you ask for no vegetables or sauce

Very easy to order: placed my order on my phone, drove out and picked it up, ate it at home. The only person I met was the woman who handed my food to me at the end. I got the fried fish and the OG pockets, and they're great. One's very satisfying, but I couldn't stop eating both.

Delicious! Popped by tonight after an event around 10pm and got a fish pocket and it was soooo goood!!! Can’t wait to try the other ones! Open late as well which is nice! I ordered online too so there is that option!
