The food is phenomenal! The fries were fried perfectly and had a delicious seasoning. I had the falafel gyro pocket and it was jam-packed with flavor! So good! There is limited seating and the music is a bit loud, but Id definitely recommend this place.

Such a fun and adorable spot! From the moment we walked in, we loved the vibe. The decor is creative and cozy, and they’ve done an amazing job making the most out of a small space; it feels welcoming, not cramped. The food is absolutely fantastic! I’m so glad someone had the genius idea to elevate crunch wraps into these fancy, jam-packed creations. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. The cherry limeade and blueberry lemonade are both refreshing and delicious drink options that pair perfectly with the food. My boyfriend and I recently had a fun, low-key date night here, and it was the perfect casual but special outing. We’re already planning our next visit so we can try more varieties of the hippo pockets. The only question I still have is… where did the name “hippo pockets” come from?

I LOVE this place. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did, and I am literally obsessed! The restaurant itself is a vibe, with a lot of great pop art and decor throughout. I've been here numerous times! I really like the birria, gyro, and bacon ranch. My favorite is the chicken bacon ranch, as well as the gyro. The birria was amazing however the Birria Consomé was on the saltier side. I would highly recommend this place! The food is absolutely amazing even the waffle fries and seasoned sour cream.

I live about an hour north of the twin cities and I've been trying to get down to Hippo Pockets for the better part of 6 months—I recently found myself in Minneapolis running an errand, so it was the perfect opportunity to finally stop in! I have to say, this place is INCREDIBLE. I got their cubano crunchwrap, in addition to an OG crunchwrap to save for later, and my friend got their korean BBQ crunchwrap. Everything was delicious and very well put together, and the cherry limeade + blueberry lemonade was also wonderful! The general manager at this location chatted with us a bit and took it upon himself to make our first experience special—he brought out a sample of their strawberry milk cake and I have to say, if I lived closer then it'd be dangerous for my health because I'd be stopping in on the regular! The GM at the south Minneapolis location clearly cares about your experience here, and I will be recommending all family and friends to stop in if they every find themselves looking for a place to eat in the cities. I'll be back, hungry for more!
