The food was delicious, and they also have gluten-free options, which is really nice. I went with the Hawaiian bowl and modified it to be gluten-free.

Not bad for a quick bite to eat, but they skimp out pretty badly on the protein in contrast to other poke places.
Food is fine, but more often than not, they arent open. Waste of time to drive in when their posted hours say open, and then you get there and its closed. Has happened more then once.

Skimped on the fish. Mostly rice . Asked for brown rice , and got white. There are much better poke bowls in the Twin Cities.

i just picked up a bowl from here today, I didn’t realize it until i got home to eat but they literally put about five SMALL pieces of my protein choice in my bowl. i’m so upset
Families, don’t come here to eat. The salmon is not fresh and there is very little. The rice is poorly steamed and has no seasoning. The eel is very fat and thorny, and the skin is hard and chewy. Go to the Hawaii Poke Bowl far away, don’t eat this one.

The food was good, though the restaurant was bit of a mess. My main issue is that there's a ban on polystyrene for containers being used by restaurants in Minneapolis. Though their food containers were paper, they were definitely using polystyrene cups, which I'm not a fan of. Even for people who were dining in it was the only option. Though it's technically not illegal, ethically I don't agree with their use.

They made me a bowl but failed to put the tuna in it. I guess I paid $15 to eat some rice and shredded purple cabbage. I'm not sure how they missed the main ingredient, but I can say I was pretty disappointed when I got home and took a look at my order. Definitely won't be going back and won't recommend this place to anyone else.

JJ’s poke is really good if you know what to order! When making your own bowl, sometimes the meal can be a miss because the combination of sauces and fish does not mix well. If it is your first time is recommmend one of their pre made bowls.
