Families, don’t come here to eat. The salmon is not fresh and there is very little. The rice is poorly steamed and has no seasoning. The eel is very fat and thorny, and the skin is hard and chewy. Go to the Hawaii Poke Bowl far away, don’t eat this one.

The food was good, though the restaurant was bit of a mess. My main issue is that there's a ban on polystyrene for containers being used by restaurants in Minneapolis. Though their food containers were paper, they were definitely using polystyrene cups, which I'm not a fan of. Even for people who were dining in it was the only option. Though it's technically not illegal, ethically I don't agree with their use.

They made me a bowl but failed to put the tuna in it. I guess I paid $15 to eat some rice and shredded purple cabbage. I'm not sure how they missed the main ingredient, but I can say I was pretty disappointed when I got home and took a look at my order. Definitely won't be going back and won't recommend this place to anyone else.

JJ’s poke is really good if you know what to order! When making your own bowl, sometimes the meal can be a miss because the combination of sauces and fish does not mix well. If it is your first time is recommmend one of their pre made bowls.

I came and built my own poke bowl. I liked the variety that they had! When I looked in my bowl I saw I only got 5 pieces of yellowtail compared to the scoop of salmon I got which was around 7 pieces. Pretty disappointing because yellowtail is my favorite🥲

Best poke ever. I go here all the time after class or with friends. I’ve tried other poke places but they haven’t been as good as JJ’s! It’s a little pricey but pretty consistent with other poke restaurant prices. I think they have really good quality ingredients.

Really good value poke. I like the masago and tamago options and the overall variety is good too.

Ordered the bbq eel poke bowl and a pork bun. Was very excited as I absolutely love bowls of ingredients for meals. It’s always a win. Well, until I got dinner from here last night. The bun was mostly flavorless and the pork belly was tough, which I didn’t know was possible. As far as my bowl goes, the base of the bowl - the rice- was soggy, mushy, and starchy. I threw half of it away, which I never do. The only good things about the meal were the ginger and kimchi toppings - which I could get anywhere in a jar. I just moved to the area, and was really looking forward to this pretty highly rated spot. Not ordering from here again, though.

VERY stingy with the ingredients. Tons of rice, skimped on everything else including the extra scoop of protein I paid $3 for (not the $2 indicated on the printed menu). Asked for double kimchi and got very little. Got spicy ponzu which was fine but maybe not enough because the bowl was pretty lacking in flavor. Would not go back.

Small portion sizes, charged $1 more per bowl than menu price.
