An absolute superb experience. We’ve gone to Kade No Mise a few times, but this was a special occasion. The dishes were composed of seasonal fresh ingredients with unique preparations that made even the more odd ingredients absolutely delicious. Be prepared that the focus is less on sushi and more seasonality, only one of the dishes was sushi for the month of October. A very rememberable dining experience and we’ll definitely be back.
Kaiseki is more then a meal. It's an experience. It's history. It's culture. It’s based in seasonal ingredients and valuing simplicity. Simplicity that relates back to Japanese tea ceremony. Wabi sabi. I appreciated the teas served alongside the meal and the sake pairing was fantastic. Heads up on the sake pairing, it's a lot of sake so don't do like we did and order a drink before that. The turkey sandwich is awesome. It’s a legit full meal—not one of those wimpy little thin sandwiches you get at an artisanal coffee shop! (See photo)
