I’m beyond shocked and disappointed by what I witnessed recently involving the owner of Kung Fu Tea Dinkytown. Instead of handling a situation professionally, they physically attacked workers from Le Pot right inside the restaurant. It was aggressive, violent, and completely uncalled for—something no business owner should ever engage in, especially in a community-centered area like Dinkytown.
It's heartbreaking to see such hostility when things could have—and should have—been addressed with maturity and respect. As a customer and member of this community, I expect better. The behavior displayed was not only unprofessional, it was dangerous and deeply disrespectful to the workers involved and to everyone who witnessed it.
Frankly, if this is how they choose to represent their business, they should not be open at all. I will not support Kung Fu Tea Dinkytown again, and I urge others to seriously reconsider where they spend their money. We deserve better than this.

I really did enjoy kung fu tea but after seeing that they attacked employees of lepot (one of my favorite hot pot places) it makes me feel otherwise. The situation could have been dealt more professionally.

Strawberry lemonade was delicious. Fresh strawberry taste instead of fake, and with added popping strawberry boba made it 10/10. Passion Fruit Tea, even with 100% sugar level wasn't that sweet. Might have to try it with more. Medium is quite small, compared to other boba places. More bang for your buck elsewhere.
Taste really bad. Came for the hotpot and decided to give it a shot but waste of money. Better do tiger sugar, only 1 block down the street

This is my favorite spot for boba tea in the twin cities. If I'm nearby I make a stop, no exceptions. My top flavors are honey lemonade and honey milk tea.
Access: curb access with street metered parking, free on Sundays and most holidays. It's inside Le Hot Pot and there's no push-plate to the door. You don't have to order hot pot to order a drink, just head to the drink stand.
Price: fairly average pricing for boba tea. You do have to pay for any additional toppings, including basic tapioca, which sucks.
Wait time: speedy! They get those drinks out fast! You can bring them to your hot pot table if you'd like or leave the store and take a walk.

Honestly, the quality of your boba tea is very dependent on who's working, but when the top tier workers are there, the boba is so good. I definitely recommend the WOW (milk strike) drinks that are lactose free! Healthier for your skin and nice for those who are lactose intolerant. Strawberry milk slush was also soooo good perfect thickness and flavor. Loved whoever made our drinks tonight I hope your pillow is nice and cold on both sides 🩷. Also the new male trainee on the cashier is so much faster than those who've been working there for ages. He's amazing give that man a raise. Thank you!
